It's a good try, but I don't see enough motivation to build and odd/even deck.  There's no win condition, it's just a bu nch of value cards.
Not enough to wrecking your curve.

Let's say you build an odd deck.  You have no 1 manas on 1.  No exact 3 manas on 3.  No exact 5 manas on 5.  You need a MUCH better motivation to do that than the mildly stronger cards shown.

ZiPS wasn't excited, but I think when you're rebuilding -- as the Reds realistically still are doing -- you give a guy like that, who was veyr competent in the minors last year, the chances to prove he can do something you didn't think.

I don't think you're far off.  The pitching staff was so underrated last year.

A lot of people had no problem quickly rushing to claim that the Dbacks starting pitching would regress a bit. But did anyone take into account their starting pitching getting better? Godley and Corbin look like they might be taking big steps forward.
