the 2 run per game average would look pretty good right now.

I can't help but want to pronounce Schoop's name in a way that I assume would be consistent with how Salt 'n' Peppa would pronounce it.
Meg Rowley
7:02
As long as you pronounce it correctly when you say it out loud.

I think Philadelphia works really well, they have all their parks at the very end of one of their Subway lines
Meg Rowley
7:04
Yeah, Safeco has reasonable bus and light rail access
It's good

We get NYY-BOS tonight and tomorrow, and then we get UT-OU tomorrow?! What a great weekend for sports
Meg Rowley
7:05
One of the funny thing about college sports is how much we assume other people care about our specific rivalries (even famous ones). College sports are even more local than baseball.

whoa they did a version of the Yu Darvish gif (you know the one) for the Scott Oberg v. Schoop at bat. Very cool.
"They" should do that more
Meg Rowley
7:06
It's a very effective way to illustrate just what hitters have to deal with
Jesse
7:06
I don't even know if that's referring to University of Tennessee or Texas
Devil Ray Jay Johnson

Utah and Oregon play tomorrow?
Sean Dolinar
7:07
Local...except for Notre Dame.
Meg Rowley
7:08
Which, given the size of the city, is very funny
Sean Dolinar
7:08
I had no clue where Notre Dame was until high school. It was almost like it existed in another mythical world.

these MIL/COL games have been very entertaining so far
Sean Dolinar
7:10
I would expand it to all games played in the midwest...all those have been good, close games including game 163s.

it's in France, Sean. Come on
Sean Dolinar
7:11
^ Notre Dame.
Walter Benjamin

Schoop is from the Dutch Antilles, and his name is not an untypical Dutch name: I'd say he is pronounced "Skhhhhoup". Type it into google translate if you want to hear it. Impossible to write pseudo-phonetically
Sean Dolinar
7:13
I'm out! Happy baseball everyone!
Meg Rowley
7:13
His Baseball-Reference page says: \Scope\
Bye Sean!
CamdenWarehouse
7:13
bye sean

If a pitcher is on, are the batters just screwed usually? It seems like good hitting relies a lot on pitchers making mistakes and punishing them.
Meg Rowley
7:14
Hitting is really hard no matter what. But even good pitchers make mistakes and even non-mistakes get hit.

Any way you spin it, DJ's record in Colorado was exemplary.
Meg Rowley
7:16
Oh brother.
Nick
7:16
Story's plate discipline has been garbage this series.
Meg Rowley
7:17
It hasn't been what you would call the best.
Nick
7:17
That was a good take though.
Meg Rowley
7:17
Yeah.
It would be very hard to resist pressing.
7:18
Especially behind, and knowing you're one of two dudes who can consistently do anything.
7:19
Craig who is going to pitch this inning?
Brandon M
7:20
Is there a difference in home crowds during playoffs? Or are all fans pretty much equally pumped up no matter the team?
Meg Rowley
7:21
I think all crowds are situational, but the baseline is pretty similar, with the exception of teams back for the first time in a while, which might be a special kind of nuts
Craig Edwards
7:21
Nobody up in the pen for Milwaukee.
have to think Oh is coming in after Yelich
