Thank you kindly

lots of people at the games in Milwaukee won't remember much of the game
Meg Rowley
7:22
I think this is true everywhere
which is an impulse I've never quite understood
CamdenWarehouse

any idea what the rest of the night's chat cast looks like?
Meg Rowley
7:23
Empty. Cold. Alone.
(we're done after this game)
Matt
7:24
Oh, I thought you meant Carson

Rockies remind me of the 2014 playoff Nats: powerful bats inexplicably enfeebled.
Meg Rowley
7:25
Outside of a few guys, the bats aren't even that good

Obviously I'm biased as a Cubs fan, but is it fair to say the Brewers got super lucky to take the division? They had to have a lot of their off-season acquisitions pan out (including  Yelich turning into an MVP), have some of the best reliever seasons in history, get production out of Wade freaking Miley, win 8 in a row to close out the season (which, I don't care how good you are, involves a bit of luck, you don't expect that), and also have the Cubs offense collapse in the final couple weeks. Everything broke perfectly for them.

Super lucky feels too strong to me.
Their BaseRuns record and the Cubs' were separated by two wins.

I think my favorite thing about FanGraphs is how Carson is so equally beloved and the perfect butt of so many jokes
Meg Rowley
7:27
Carson doesn't embarrass because he is always a little embarrassed.
People who aren't overly self serious are my favorite sorts, so it is no surprise Carson is one of my favorite people.
Guys, we have another game to watch, let's wrap this up.
Brian CashGod
7:28
let's go Yankees!

Honestly, I find I don't usually pay a whole lot of attention to games when I'm there. I live a few blocks from a park, so maybe that waters it down, but when I'm there in person, it's for the atmosphere and the environment...not necessarily the game itself.
Meg Rowley
7:29
If your goal is to track the game, I think that is easier from home, yes.
I would say the vibe in the postseason is amazing but I don't know.

wait wrapping up before or after the Yankees / Red Sox?
Meg Rowley
7:30
Before-- folks are busy tonight
We'll do a chat for one of those games, I am sure.
But Friday nights can be tricky.

FG writers have personal lives? Bill Plaschke would have me believe they all lived in the parents' basements
Meg Rowley
7:32
We at least have hours when we don't work, or when we need to write, which is hard to do on nights when you chat.
Michael Scarn

Does anyone know exactly how healthy Sale is?
Meg Rowley
7:33
His doctor.
Presumably he does.
Brandon M
7:33
Aguilar looks like a young Nelson Cruz
Meg Rowley
7:34
I think he looks kinda like Yo in the face
Muxosk
7:34
95 to start the night is a good sign for Sale
Meg Rowley
7:34
(we will continue until the Brewers game ends) (so here is a Sale update)
Craig Edwards
7:34
Meg-I saw a Brewers Segura jersey in the crowd today.
Meg Rowley
7:34
awwwwwwwwww
Craig
7:37
Sale himself may know whether or not hiself is healthy (err, not to be confused with his elf)
Ozzie Ozzie Albies Free
7:38
Safe to change the game now?
