With a Ben extension coming soon, should the Steelers try to trade Mason Rudolph in the draft this year. They could be stuck trying to renew his rookie deal with very little playing time.

Well, it worked for them with Joe Haden, but that was pure luck. They signed Dewayne Washington years ago and he worked out OK. Not many, though. They're also so costly.

Any chance all of this Brown craziness is because he wants a new contract with more money but knows the Steelers will not give it to him?

I'm not sure anyone else will either. He's 31 and he has 3 years left on his contract. I don't see a team giving up a high draft choice so they can sign him to a big deal. A team could turn his salary this year into a signing bonus, but that's all I would expect.

If Brown is traded in the next week, why not franchise Bell, sign him and trade him. From what I have watched on T.V. the last 2 days, several teams are lining up for his services.

First, you can't trade Brown officially until March 13. Second, they said they won't tag Bell, so that no longer is an issue
