Ed Bouchette
1:58
Good afternoon, let's begin
Black Jack Bill
1:58
Do the Steelers intend to offer Jesse James in free agency or is he heading elsewhere?
Ed Bouchette
1:59
I believe they will let him test free agency and go from there. They've done that in the past with players who did return after seeing what their value was elsewhere.
Bill
1:59
How far do you think the Steelers could move up in the first round if they offered one of next years third round picks?
Ed Bouchette
1:59
Not very far, a few spots at most.
Charles
2:00
Will the Steelers add another safety in the draft? How many players will be in the safety rotation next year?
Ed Bouchette
2:00
I don't think safety is a priority for them after they drafted Edmunds in the first round last year.  They have bigger needs at corner and linebacker
Charles
2:00
I’ve noticed the Steelers brass have been talking to many of the defensive linemen in the draft. How high might they draft someone on the d-line?
Ed Bouchette
2:01
This draft is top-heavy with defensive linemen. They'd be foolish to pass up one who has a higher grade just to take someone at a so-called need position.

Ed.  Give me the name of one Free Agent CB that you think could be a realistic and affordable fit for the Steelers.
Ed Bouchette
2:05
Off the top of my hed, how about Seven Nelson of the Chiefs? 25 years old, four interceptions last season.
Charles
2:05
Who caught your eye in the combine?
Ed Bouchette
2:05
I did not watch it.
Carlo
2:05
Ed, due to the lack of FA CB talent this year, do you see the Steelers going after a CJ Mosley or Kwon Alexander then drafting a CB and WR in the first round (additional 1st after the AB trade)?
Ed Bouchette
2:07
I don't see them going after Mosley. Alexander is only 24 but coming off ACL tear at mid-season. You'd have to be convinced he'll be able to play

They love the 3 safety sub package. Make a play for Landon Collins and draft LB, CB, Wr? He's a Big play safety much better than Burnett.
Ed Bouchette
2:07
Collins still young and three Pro Bowls with the Giants. He won't come cheap but you could cut Burnett if you sign him to save a little there.
Mike D
2:08
Hey Ed, do you view CB or Inside Linebacker as a bigger need on the defense? Second part of my question is if it is CB, do you think they value the pure coverage ability of a Byron Murphy or the the more rounded out ability of DeAndre Baker if both are on the board? Thanks!
Ed Bouchette
2:08
Both needs, I'd take the best player when it was my turn at either position. They want cover guys, playmakers, ball hawks.
Chris B
2:09
With the loss of Bryant, Bell and soon Brown, that is a huge loss of offensive talent in 12 months.  With the needs on defense too, what side of the ball is more pressing in the draft?
Ed Bouchette
2:09
Defense, defense, defense
Bob Pine
2:09
Hey Ed.  Is there any truth at all to the Steelers having interest in Josh Rosen?
Ed Bouchette
2:10
No, and I'm not sure where that started. They have Ben and 2 young draft picks behind him.
Sonny
2:10
Ed it’s time to make a statement and grab a premier free agent you think?
Ed Bouchette
2:10
It's time for them to find someone who can play. Ryan Clark wasn't a premier free agent, neither was James Farrior. They both worked out pretty well.
Lefty
2:11
Do you think Antonio Brown saga has taken a lot of the pressure off of Tomlin for the teams inability to compete to their supposed talent level?
Ed Bouchette
2:11
I think it has done just the opposite because the narrative now is that Mike lost some control there.
ALB
2:11
Could the outcomes of the next few months (trades, free agents, the draft) be the most pivotal in Steeler history?
Ed Bouchette
2:11
Hardly
2:12
Unless your history goes only as far  back as, oh, 2016.
Jerry in KC
2:13
Pipe dream or possiblity? Arizona drafts Murray #1, trades Rosen to the Dolphins for their 1(#13), Arizona ships Patrick Peterson and #13 to Pittsburgh for AB and #20. Arizona still keeps a #1 and that offense in Arizona could be great if Murray matches the hype. Steelers then draft one of the Devin's at #13 and fix their two biggest needs (CB and ILB)
Ed Bouchette
2:13
You lost me at Pipe dream
Tim
2:13
Hi Ed. What is your favorite city to visit when the Steelers are on the road?
Ed Bouchette
2:14
New Orleans, Jacksonville (for Jacksonville Beach), Nashville, Baltimore
Tom from VA
2:14
Hey Ed - Why should we care if A.B. gets traded to a team that he doesn't like and throws a fit?  Thanks!
Ed Bouchette
2:15
No one should care, other than  Brown. Actually, that would be entertaining to see.
FatBuddy
2:15
Hi Ed, correct me if I’m wrong, if AB sits out doesn’t he still owe the Steelers or whoever 3 years he’s already signed for?
Ed Bouchette
2:15
They could go after the pro-rated signing bonus left

Any chance the Steelers look at Houston or Ford from KC?   Would you reach out if you were them?
Ed Bouchette
2:18
KC just franchised Ford. I wouldn't go after Houston
