Good afternoon, let's begin

Ed, I haven’t read much about the enormity of Boswell’s missed extra point. With it, the halftime score would have been 24-7, the Bolts would not have tried the 2 point conversions, and after their 4th Quarter TD, it would have been 24-28 them, with us still needing a TD, which we got to make it 31-28. Agree?
Ed Bouchette
2:01
Lot of what-ifs there. Your logic is correct, but I'm not going to blame that loss on Boswell, who also was good from 48 yards

Hi Ed,
The Sean Davis collision with Joe Haden (as Haden awaits an INT)….The fault of Davis or just bad luck?
Ed Bouchette
2:02
Sean Davis was going for the ball, and that was a point of emphasis for them last week. Bad luck for the Steelers is all.

Whats with the lack of mental toughness to finish strongly in the 4th quarter?
Ed Bouchette
2:02
I'm not sure it's lack of mental toughness as it was a lack of physical execution.

Multi week injury for Conner?
Ed Bouchette
2:03
When it's an ankle sprain and they declare you out on Tuesday after an MRI, it's usually longer than a week. if it's a high ankle sprain, it can be a month.
2:05
He was limping in the locker room on Monday, but he wasn't wearing a boot. They usually put a suspected high ankle sprain in a corrective boot immediately.

What is your confidence level in winning the division? Are we still a lock for a playoff spot?
Ed Bouchette
2:05
Not with Conner out

Hi Ed, Suprise Ward or Ham didn’t attend alumni weekend? Any reason for that.. Thanks
Ed Bouchette
2:06
Hines is involved in that new football league, so I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it because they were having their draft. I have no idea with Ham, who has a good relationship with the team.

Good afternoon Ed.  It's a shame Troy Polamalu didn't attend this weekend's reunion.  Some say he's just a shy guy who doesn't want in the spotlight, but most have to believe that he's still not happy the way it ended with the Steelers.  Your thoughts?
Ed Bouchette
2:07
It's the latter. Troy was not happy with how he was forced out with the Steelers, although there is no way he could play at a good level for one more year.

2:07
Ed, do you blame the loss more on bad luck or bad execution.
Ed Bouchette
2:07
Both.
Deaken
2:08
If it wasn't for bad luck the Steelers would have no luck at all.  Can you think of a game when the Steelers were actually lucky?
Ed Bouchette
2:08
Super Bowl XL?
Pitt
2:08
Luckily we don't seem to like running the ball anyway, but are you concerned with our lack of proven depth against Oakland? I would like to think this is the matchup where you don't need an established runner to get the W....
Ed Bouchette
2:08
If not Oakland, then New England
Chooch

Is it time to unleash hell or just accept mediocrity?
Ed Bouchette
2:09
December's first game has come and gone and the only thing unleashed was another loss and lost starting RB

Ed - new year, same foolish bunch getting in their own way.  When will situational football and fundamentals be addressed with this team?  Does Tomlin even practice situational football outside of his 2 pt conversion drills?
Ed Bouchette
2:10
I'm still trying to figure out what "situational" football is. Are there certain situations that aren't "situational?" Either way, Mike Tomlin preaches about practicing "situational football" so I assume he knows what that means.

You think Pitt’s record would be better or worse right now w LBell?  Use your brand new crystal ball if need be...
Ed Bouchette
2:11
I don't know about right now, but moving forward they sure could have used him with Conner out
Buddy
2:11
Hello Ed. In your opinion, should Ridley be our starer at running back? Or at least get a decent amount of carries against Oakland’s poor run defense?
Ed Bouchette
2:12
No, he's been behind Jaylen Samuels for the past month. MT said he may use a RB-by-committee
MARK PACE
2:12
WOULD YOU TRADE HUNTER AND WILLIAMS TO GET MARTAVIS BRYANT BACK?
Ed Bouchette
2:13
I would not sign him if he were a free agent and came at the minimum
Jim
2:13
Hi, Ed. When the team goes thru bad stretches like this one, is there a palpable difference in the mood at practice? Less playful - more serious?
Ed Bouchette
2:13
Usually, not much of a difference.

Ed, you've seen it all in Pittsburgh through the years. What holds this team back from a potential long playoff run? Talent, coaching, schemes, desire, or ??
Ed Bouchette
2:14
They had a long playoff run in 2016 when they beat Miami and at KC before losing at New England in the AFC title game after they lost Le'Veon Bell to an early groin injury.

Why is yours so much shorter than Rays(chats that is)?!
Ed Bouchette
2:14
Ray is younger and has more stamina for these things.

While Tony Romo has seemed to be a great fit for the booth, it seems Jason Witten has not.  Have you ever had any thoughts about pursuing broadcasting in addition to writing?
Ed Bouchette
2:15
Yes, it is why I can be heard on 93.7 The Fan, KDKA-AM and KDKA-TV. As for actually broadcasting football games? I'll leave that to the pros like Bill Hillgrove and Tunch Ilkin
