Munchak left to be with his family. Brown and Bell really are unique situations because I've never seen anything like what Brown has done and only one other Steeler ever held out the entire season because of a contract dispute --  Mike Merriweather 30 years ago.

Do you think Tomlin should do away with the Team MVP like he did the pool table? Seems that the risk/reward just isn't there.

I suggested just that and I know some players believe they should do away with the MVP. The pool table still sits in the locker room, but there are no balls nor sticks. The equipment guys sometimes use it at as a clothes rack.

When looking for a trading partner for Brown, should the Steelers be concerned with who the other team is to them (divisional foe, Patriots, etc.) or just get the most they can possibly get for him?

I believe it's a balancing act but he won't go to an AFC North team nor the Patriots.

They'll have to weigh whether it's worth paying $2.5 million to wait another month if the price by March 17 isn't to their liking. But then, that would also be a gamble, that some team would change its mind in a month.
