I believe that is a reasonable goal, something the city could handle, unlike the Super Bowl, which is a pie in the sky wish by some.

Could Timmons still be a starter for the Steelers?
Ed Bouchette
2:30
Sean Spence started late in the season, so yes. I think the preference would be, though, that he would be good for depth, his knowledge, his ability to play both inside spots and perhaps start until/if the rookie they draft is ready.

If a higher rated player drops to the Steelers that isn't necessarily a need, do they draft him or go with one of the ILB that have been mocked to the Steelers?
Ed Bouchette
2:30
At the moment, their weakest position is ILB and they need to fill that hole or that 45-42 playoff score will become a trend.

Do you feel this will be Bell's final season playing for the Steelers?
Ed Bouchette
2:31
If they don't come to a multi-year deal and he plays under the tag, yes, I think it will be his final season.
Ike Steelheart
2:31
Barkley or Bell?
Ed Bouchette
2:31
They won't have that choice.
Mike from VA
2:32
Hey Ed, happy Tuesday.  If the Steelers first two choices are off the board when they are on the clock, do you see them taking the Louisville QB or still going defense?
Ed Bouchette
2:32
I cannot see them drafting a QB
Dr. Steel
2:32
Why didn’t the Steeler’s draft Dan Marino?
Ed Bouchette
2:32
Many reasons, none of them good ones.
Lloyd's 3-Count
2:33
What's the likelihood the Steelers get cap relief exemption from Shazier injury? Seems like they could get something and no harm to any parties involved.
Ed Bouchette
2:33
That won't happen, it's my understanding.
Jay
2:34
Hi Ed.  Last year the big question was can the steelers finally beat the Pat to the Superbowl.  This year the big question is can the defense play well enough to not lose too many games?
Ed Bouchette
2:34
Plenty can and will happen between now and the regular season opener.
NCSam
2:34
Is Tomlin on the "hot seat" to make it further this year?
Ed Bouchette
2:35
Not the way you mean it, no. They all feel the pressure to win, but Tomlin's job isn't on the line.
Ben
2:35
Hi Ed, do you know if there's any truth to outside reports that Tomlin and Timmons would need to "sort things out" before a discussion can even be had about bringing him back?
Ed Bouchette
2:35
The only thing I can imagine that they'd have to sort out would be what prompted Timmons not to show up for the Dolphins that one week and miss the game.
Bryan Hinkle

Ed, odds the Steelers see what they can get in FA and pull the tag on Bell?
Ed Bouchette
2:36
I offered that as a possibility, but not one they seem apt to pursue.
STEELRSD
2:36
If Vander Esch or Rashaan Evans are available, is that their pick?
Ed Bouchette
2:37
It almost would have to be.
FoolBack
2:37
Ed, is the team still high on Anthony Chickillo?  As depth players go, I think he's done fine.
Ed Bouchette
2:37
No, "high" would be too high a word. If they were that high on him, he would have played more and they would have put a higher RFA tender on him.
Ike Steelheart
2:38
with Barkley, Landry, Gordon, Njoku and a Top Rookie QB from this Draft, how difficult would it be to play The Browns?
Ed Bouchette
2:38
I don't know if you forget, but they had a difficult time with the Browns LAST season without all those fellas.
Joe
2:38
What is the plan at safety if they release Mike Mitchell?  Not much behind him.
Ed Bouchette
2:40
They'll draft someone. Other than that, Sean Davis could move to FS. If he stays put, a rookie, perhaps Cam Sutton, maybe a free agent
Kevin in Punxsy

I wasn't asking about Cousins salary, I was asking about the 3 years GUARANTEED!
Ed Bouchette
2:41
He's not the first QB to get that
Big Red
2:41
how does sammy watkins get $16 mil a year.. That's absurd considering his production.. All that does is inflat salaries.. any thoughts?
Ed Bouchette
2:41
Let's see if that's real money or if incentives are involved. Agents love to lump incentives into the figures they give out so it looks better.
Bob Smizik
2:41
Ed, when’s the last time you tailgated?
Ed Bouchette
2:42
I think it was an IUP homecoming game. My first tailgate was at Penn State when I was a youngster.

2:42
Knowing that this may be L.Bell's last year w/ Pitt., what Rd do you think the Steelers would Draft a RB?
Ed Bouchette
2:43
Not high. You can do that next year.
Ted
2:43
If Bell does not sign a contract this year & if they do not franchise tag him, what will the Steelers get if  he is signed by another team?
