Ed, do you see the Steelers getting a long term deal done with Bell? With his contract demands could they try to fit him in on a deal and still be cap friendly?

Any multi-year deal they would do with Bell would be cap friendly for 2018, much more so than the $14.455 M cap hit he has on the books now. I just don't see them coming to terms on a multi-year deal.

No, it would not but that's not going to happen. Plus, they've already paid him a roster bonus of $1 M, which would count.

Is there any advantage to pickup Dupree’s fifth year option?

The disadvantage is if you don't, he can become a UFA after this season and if they still have high regard for him, they should pick it up. It's guaranteed only against injury and while that did happen with Ryan Shazier, that is a rare occurence.

I'm not good at these things but you go, not necessarily in this order, with Roberto Clemente, Mario Lemieux, Joe Greene, Franco Harris, Sid Crosby, You can also debate Terry Bradsahw, Ben Roethlisberger, Jerome  Bettis, Willie Stargell.

Not so much anymore, but Pittsburgh native Mike McCarthy is high among them. And I like Mike Vrabel, but obviously have not dealt with him as a coach yet.
