Good afternoon, let's begin

Where does Sunday's game rank among the weirdest Steeler games you've ever seen?
Ed Bouchette
2:01
I'm not sure, but it's not the wierdest, not by a long shot. The fourth-quarter collapse was one of their worst, though.

Why is our number one corner back playing special teams?
Ed Bouchette
2:01
If you mean Joe Haden, good question. We should have asked Mike Tomlin that today but did not.

Has there been any new/release on why the Peppers fumble return was not reviewed for being fumbled out the back of the end zone? It looked like he definitely lost control before crossing the plane?
Ed Bouchette
2:02
I believe it was reviewed and deemed not a fumble out of the end zone.

Hi Ed - I have seen a lot of people commenting that James Conner's fumble was a critical mistake leading to the Steeler's not winning the game. I think the 5 turnovers by Ben were just as much to blame if not more. Your thoughts?
Ed Bouchette
2:03
There were more than those too, on both sides of the ball that prevented either team from winning. And when you talk about "Ben's turnovers, I assume you are including the interception that passed right through the hands of Jesse James.

Can we please stop the talk now about needing Bell to win?  Take away that fumble and we're just fine.
Ed Bouchette
2:05
And for those who might say Le'Veon Bell never fumbles, he fumbled seven times over the past two regular seasons.

HI Ed,
I understand how lucky the Steelers are to have a franchise QB in Big Ben BUT, is his lack of mobility in today’s NFL something they need to consider before too long?
Ed Bouchette
2:06
Ben's lack of mobility? Since when? He's not Mike Vick in his prime, but he's more mobile than Tom Brady, among many others.

Hi Ed, how much longer will the Justin Hunter experiment continue? He may look great in practice it just doesn't translate to the games.
Ed Bouchette
2:07
Let's give him more than one game this year before you cast him off the roster.

I'm hearing different reports on what the Steelers can do with the money they save on Bell.  Hypothetically Spend it this year if they can land a trade, or do they have to wait until next year?
Ed Bouchette
2:08
Every week, they gain about $856,000 back on their salary cap they can spend any way they want. They also can carry any room under the cap over to 2019.

Hey Ed!  We don't live in our fears, but did Conner's workload, with no other RBs subbed in, scare you at all?
Ed Bouchette
2:09
Nothing the Steelers do scares me, personally, and I don't think it scares Conner, either. Mike Tomlin has a history of using one back and staying with him.

Was the last Steelers turnover by Ben a fumble or an interception  ? Seems to be some miss reporting ?
Ed Bouchette
2:09
The officials ruled it an interception. After the game, the statisticians changed it to a fumble.

Hi Ed - I was talking to a friend a couple of minutes before the Conner fumble that he had to be tiring and might be a good time to get Ridley a few carries on fresh legs. Do you agree?

Why hasn't an NFL team found someone who can handle both kicking, and punting duties - thus opening up another spot for a non-special teamer?
Ed Bouchette
2:11
Because that's a difficult thing to do. Believe me, if they could find someone to competently do both, they would. Pat McAfee, a native of suburban Plum, kicked off and punted for the Colts but did not placekick.

What’s the status of WR James Washington? I feel like they need to get him in the mix very soon, as opposed to Justin Hunter.
Ed Bouchette
2:12
I was surprised they did not have him ready to play more after the summer he's had.

Can Steelers explore a trade at this point of Bell? I know he has to sign his tender but can it be a sign and trade type deal? The disruption he has caused us not worth the value... we did not tie because of the rb position...
Ed Bouchette
2:13
He's really causing no disruption now. They even erased him from the depth chart, finally. They can trade him, if he signs his tender. I don't see that happening for many reasons.

So Tomlin liked the kicking game - short punts and missed field goal. This explains him thinking Dupree had a similar game to Watt, no?
Ed Bouchette
2:13
When he said that, I think he meant the kick return and coverage units not, you know, the actual KICKING of the ball.

Another early game that at least on paper, we should have won. I'm not one to want to fire everyone, but do you feel the Steelers lack and focus and discipline which would speak to coaching?
Ed Bouchette
2:14
It was disappointing if you are a Steelers fan, coach or player. However, it's not the end of the world. They could have lost in Cleveland last year and wound up 13-3.

Is Dupree a One Trick Pony?
Ed Bouchette
2:16
I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean is he only a pass rusher? If he can do that and get to the QB, they will gladly accept him as a one trick pony.

0-0-1 - still a chance to go undefeated right??!!
Ed Bouchette
2:16
As Gene Collier Tweeted, the entire AFC North is undefeated

Bens elbow? Injury drama starting week two this year or is it a legitimate concern?
Ed Bouchette
2:17
Mike Tomlin would not elaborate.

What happened to your regular season schedule prediction article you usually release the first Sunday of the season?
Ed Bouchette
2:18
I decided not to do it. If I had, I'd already have gotten the first game wrong.
