In SF? Citizen's Band hamburgers or fried chicken, or the SoMa street food spot. Or Darwin Cafe for a sandwhich, and then 21A to watch the game.

Seems with Iglesias' inability to keep velo, he would be an ideal closer. So many other intriguing arms that could fill in. Bailey, Lamb, Stephenson, ...
Eno Sarris
12:56
Yeah but the Reds need to think more about 2017, IMO. And Iglesias as a starter is way more valuable.

It's only April, but as far as contention is concerned, too early to call the Twins toast? Because I think they're toast.
Eno Sarris
12:56
Yeah it doesn't look good.
Bryan CA
12:56
Giants closer? Law looks a heck of lot better than Casilla or Strickland.
Eno Sarris
12:56
Too far back. Strickland looks fine to me, he's next in line, and Casilla giving up too many balls in play.

Re: Tyler White, how does he post a near 30 K% rate coupled with outstanding O-swing% and F-strike% and ~average overall contact? Regression coming, any idea what his xK% looks like?
Eno Sarris
12:56
I'll give him 18-20%.

Do you like Colome to keep the closer job once Boxberger returns?
Eno Sarris
12:57
I don't ever trust a Tampa closer.
Bryan CA
12:57
How many more starts can the Giants really give Peavy before kaboom!
Eno Sarris
12:57
They don't got options unless Heston gets right.

ROS: Tropeano or Nicasio ROS (K/9 + QS, no W). Let's pretend Trop gets a permanent spot.
Eno Sarris
12:57
Trop.
Drew
12:57
Hector Neris needs some love right? He's been dominant this season so far.
Eno Sarris
12:58
Yeah he should be the closer soon.

Ran into Kevin Youkilis at the trillium brewery last Friday. that was pretty cool- obviously still lives in boston and loves good beer!
Eno Sarris
12:58
Nice. Trillium so good.
I'm not worthy

You were one of three staff members that picked Story for NL ROY, and the only one that picked Whitefor AL ROY. Three weeks into the season...you feeling pretty smug yet?
Eno Sarris
12:59
Totally forgot.
1:00
OH NO. OH NO! Prince is dead.

Love your work, Eno. Got a pineapple sculpin waiting for me in the fridge after work today! Traded my Tyler White and Gerardo Parra for his Freddie Freeman and Domingo Santana. But now August's article and your comment above have me second guessing. Paint me like one of your french girls, Eno!
Eno Sarris
1:00
Domingo a great score.

Do you think John Schoop spends the whole year batting 8th or 9th? I like his upside but that limits some of his value?
Eno Sarris
1:01
140 PA between 1 and 9, so yeah it's going to cost him some chances. But I don't think I can move him very far up.
Byron

How concerned are you about Puig? His O-swing is 44% and he has 4 XBH 3 of which came in his first 3 games and the other was a routine single that he stretched for a double.
Eno Sarris
1:02
I still like him.
Jon

How do you weigh positional back-ups in relation to overall roster talent? Somebody dropped Howie Kendrick, and I was thinking of dropping Prado or Alexei Ramirez for him, but those are my only back-ups at 3B and SS. Do you even consider your bench depth when there's a talented player on the wire that doesn't completely fit?
Eno Sarris
1:02
I don't consider backups in most leagues. That's what the wire is for.

Khris Davis Wtf. Will Sky Dome be the cure this weekend?
Eno Sarris
1:03
He's swinging way too much. Perhaps trying to impress. Hopefully he can settle down, but he's upset me.
Alpha King
1:03
Have you seen Liam Hendriks? Thought he was a darkhorse for saves. Just a blip?
Eno Sarris
1:03
Not throwing the slider as much so not getting the whiffs. Don't know why, though.
Billy Ball

The next homegrown masher for the A's will be?
Eno Sarris
1:04
You know, Chapman looks pretty good.

There are still a few things that Robert Stephenson has to work on in order to become an effective major league starting pitcher. However, after pitching 2 games in the ML and with the reds in a rebuild, would he be better off learning these things in the ML rather than in Triple-A?
Eno Sarris
1:04
I dunno. He needs to throw the change more, and is he going to do that when all he wants to get this hitter out right now?
Christopher Archer
1:05
Am I hurt?
Eno Sarris
1:07
Just got some quotes from Laurila, I'll write them up if he doesn't. Archer thinks it's just not getting ahead in counts so he can use the slider like he likes, looks like. Pitcher injury factors are split. I think he might be okay.
