I'm all in. Has legit three different breaking balls, best sinker in game.

How concerned are you about Harvey? He was hitting 99 two starts ago, then his velo was back down against the Rockies. Is he going to be inconsistent all season, or do you think he can get straightened out?
Eno Sarris
12:16
Velo seems fine every other start. Three starts at 93 average, three at 94, two at 95.. I'm actually less concerned than Archer, obviously less than Keuchel, more concerned than deGrom and Greinke though.

Do you see anything you like from Daniel Mengden?
Eno Sarris
12:17
Not giving up any runs, so that's nice. Good command, but nothing is amazing, and there are a lot of starters in Oakland. Eh.

Franco for Rendon, who wins?
Eno Sarris
12:18
Franco. I think he'll hit more homers and the batting average won't make up the difference.

You obviously here a lot of scouting jargon about how pitchers project as one through five in the rotation. With one’s it’s a bit more intuitive to figure out and know who good prototype examples in the majors are. It’s when I begin to move down the ladder where it gets hazy. For example, I imagine many rotations current #4 starters aren’t actually “true” fours – some are actually three’s, others five’s, etc… It would be helpful if you could give an example of a guy currently in the majors who is an ideal example of each slot. I think it would give me a great frame of reference for the future.

Was on a radio show debating if Hamels was an ace and my first question was: how many aces are there. If there are 30 because there are 30 teams, then he's obviously an ace. I take him even with their answer (15), but that's right up the alley of what you're talking about. I think it's probably better to say there are 30 aces but they're not all each on one team. That makes the most sense to me.

Who is a bigger surprise so far, the Astros or the Phillies?
Eno Sarris
12:20
Phillies, because I thought that bullpen would be a tire fire. I always liked their rotation and thought they had some nice pieces in the lineup. Couldn't see Odubel walking like this. Astros don't have a good rotation really, didn't have a good rotation really, didn't do enough about it.
Eno! Helloooooo
12:20
Are you feeling Jon Gray at St. Louis today?
Eno Sarris
12:20
yes.

12:20
Think Manaea's slight grip changes will make a significant difference ROS?
Eno Sarris
12:21
yeah. He got three inches more dive on the change and it made him feel good, and I think he's a grip change away on the slider from being really good. The coaching is better in the major leagues.
Sam Dyson
12:21
Sorry I called you weird. Keeper points league, so SP is very important- but would you give up Cole for Harper? Upton and Puig aren't doing it for me. My staff isn't too bad.
Eno Sarris
12:22
As much as I love Cole, yes of course.
Carl
12:22
Where do you see Bautista and Encarnacion going at the end of the year? One has to stay in TOR right??
Eno Sarris
12:22
Bautista stays, Edwin walks the parrot.
Jeff
12:22
Waino had a good start last night...time to buy back in or he is donezo?
Eno Sarris
12:23
Most sinkers since he went to a more mixed sinker/4s mix three years ago. Arm angle dropping, but consistent through the game. Maybe the sinker is his newest adjustment, but I think he's more of a matchups play than his name suggests.

12:23
I listened to the podcast this morning...you kiss your mother with that mouth?
Eno Sarris
12:24
So sorry about that. My slump continues. Hanging out with ballplayers can do that, and I had just played basketball where, yeah, we curse a lot.
MB
12:24
traded conforto and conley for kluber. 12-team league, keep 8 forever. that was ok, right?
Eno Sarris
12:24
Rather have what you gave up sorry
Shawn

This is probably a dumb question, but going to my 1st beer fest in a few weeks (MicroBrew in Boston) and wondering do breweries sell bottles/cans there (aside from what's on tap, obviously)? I'm guessing not
Eno Sarris
12:25
Mostly not because mostly the idea is that they give away the beer to charity, don't do direct sales.

12:25
What do you think of Vince Velazquez for the next few years, will he stay ace like or will his control make him more of a #2-3?
Eno Sarris
12:25
Breaking out the change more. I see ace.
Jackie T.
12:25
Tillman's peripherals are up across the board, can he keep this up? Similar situations with Lackey and Shark as well, just wondering if I need to sell high on these three of enjoy the ride.
Eno Sarris
12:25
I believe in Tillman the most. Had to figure out how to through rise ball and sinker, but I think he did it.
Billy Ill
12:25
So AJ Cole is frindgy at best, should the nats look to turn him into a bullpen arm? or does he have enough value to trade?
Eno Sarris
12:25
Hah would be funny if he was traded again. To us, I mean. To him, it would be just another year.
Josh
12:25
Start Duffey vs TOR tomorrow? Happ @ MIN on Saturday?
Eno Sarris
12:26
No. Sure.

12:26
Valencia's HRs in the past week have been so eye-poppingly deep, that it's hard to ignore. What are the odds that he really is a late stage breakout power stud?
Eno Sarris
12:26
He tells me its about the leg kick. That sort of thing has happened before, it's a big mechanical change.
Matt
12:27
Teheran and Inciarte for Springer...Who says no?
Eno Sarris
12:27
Real life? Astros.
