have you toured the greater cincinnati beer scene? madtree, blank slate, braxton all doing some tasty things
Eno Sarris
1:02
Have had some stuff in trade, but haven't been there in years.

With the emergence of Gary Sanchez, I now face a conundrum unlike any other. I haven't slept for weeks. The gin is empty. The cigarettes are gone. The void is vast. Pick two for a dynasty league: Sanchez, Schwarber, or Mazara.
Eno Sarris
1:04
Oh god this is one of those stare in the mirror at bloodshot eyes and pull at your hair moments. Schwarber gonna have more power, I'd say. Sanchez was at .187 in Triple-A this year, that's not super impressive.. I need Mazara on my team.

RE: SD Wedding beers. Modern Times Fruitlands would be a nice addition to the hoppy beers.
Interesting

If a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush then what's a Bork worth? Asking for a friend

A twerk in the club?

Thanks for the rec of The Abyss for a bba. If you're a fan of BBA, I'd rec Bottle Logic's Stronger Than Fiction that they just did a special bottle release of.

Do you see Bedrosian as the Angels closer next year? Surely they can't go back to Street can they?
Eno Sarris
1:05
Yeah Bedrosian going to take it even if they start with Street.

Jake Thompson was supposed to be pretty good, but through 4 starts he doesn't even look worthy of a bullpen spot. Was he an overrated prospect, or is he failing in a fixable way and should be fine long term?
Eno Sarris
1:06
I thought he was supposed to be a reliever.

So Bautista has to have lost some of his bargaining power what with the injuries reduced production blah blah and Encarnacion has done the opposite. Who stays and who goes?
Eno Sarris
1:06
Bautista has become cheaper, right? Seems like he's still better bet to stay.

Kendall Graveman has been pretty good lately, doing what we all wanted him to do by generating ground balls and not giving up home runs. Is he a viable streaming option going forward?
Eno Sarris
1:07
Yeah but the extremely low K totals mean he's just that for me.

Can you give a hi level summary of why Salazar is possibly a buy from the Sleeper & Bust podcast? Can't listen at work.
Eno Sarris
1:07
I can't find a smoking gun in his movement, velocity, pitch percentages, or release points.

Freeman's swing is all about timing. When his timing is off, he looks absolutely lost at the plate. But when he's on, he's a beast.
Eno Sarris
1:08
Which is an argument against steep swings in general. Maybe the end will be more swift than we think.

I think I'm starting to see a few flashes of Gausman putting it together. Does he finally have that breakout year in 2017?
Eno Sarris
1:08
I'll bet on the breakout when he adds a cutter or goes to the NL.
Mike

I wonder what the guaranteed rate would be if the White Sox blew it up.
Colin

Will Tyler Naquin have a starting job next year? Seems like Cleveland doesn't trust him as an everyday starter at the moment.
Eno Sarris
1:09
Will be in the top four, but it's a bit far out and they have Zimmer and Brantley and a whole offseason.

Cistulli also spotted Matt 'literally Cy Young' Boyd.

Sanchez is this years Sano. Big splash, small ripples. Count it

shared for the handle, which makes me think this is one of my buddies.

How many offseasons are typically spent in the "buying" phase of a rebuild? Do teams sell, sell, sell, and only buy during their first good season when enough prospects pan out at the same time? Or do you buy once to get from 70 to 78 wins, and again to get from 78 to wild card contention? Should someone like the Phillies buy this offseason in preparation for a 2018 run?
Eno Sarris
1:10
I think you should always buy if the deal is small enough and good enough. You can always sell that player later! But buy Big when you're really close.

It's odd that for some players, you cannot see the decline in bat speed with the naked eye, even though you see the results of it.. But Justin Upton's bat is clearly slower to the naked eye. Are we seeing the start of a very steep decline?
Eno Sarris
1:12
I sold, perhaps low, in my deep dynasty, because I was worried that the streakiness meant an underlying slowness to adjust and a reliance on tools which could point to a steep decline, couldn't it?
Michael

Looking for a replacement for Stras: Phelps or Samardzija most likely to get me consistent innings?
Eno Sarris
1:12
Buy Phelps for the next three starts and then look again.
Big Joe Monferrant

Is it hard writing positive things about teams or players you "hate? (Ex: Yankee fan having to write about Red Sox players)
Eno Sarris
1:13
What teams did I grow up hating? That might be the best test.

Smyly has been rolling. Does it come crashing down against Boston today?
Eno Sarris
1:14
It's Odorizzi today? Is he starting tomorrow? At home, I'd chuck Smyly and duck and hope for no

Can you elaborate more on the "grip of the slider" in Arizona? This is really an issue for pitchers there compared to other places in the country?
