How do you see Odor 2017 looking? He is still so young but he isn't walking, had a high HR/FB% and is a 50% SB. Does he improve from here?
Eno Sarris
12:20
He's good, but he's more Jonathan Schoop than people want to admit.
Miketron
12:21
Do you see Duda as the Mets full time 1B this year? Will his back allow him to?
Eno Sarris
12:21
Can't answer the second, but the first, yes I think so, since there's no great righty (Flores?) that could step in there.
Alex
12:21
Talk to me about Taillon's 2017. He should finally spend a majority of his innings in the majors and may be passed the innings limit at this point? 2016 #s looked great...whats next for him?
Eno Sarris
12:22
The changeup is... bad. I want to see a cutter/slider or else he's more of a midrotation guy.

David Robertson is a pretty good, but not great, reliever being paid like a pretty good, but not great, reliever. White Sox mostly get salary relief and not much else for dealing him and maybe a lottery ticket or two. Am I right?
Eno Sarris
12:22
Or they keep him for a better haul at the deadline. Would be in demand then when teams know they're headed for the postseason.

Read your piece last year on finding next year's closers by looking for right-handlers with high velo and high k/9. Went for Jumbo Diaz and Caminero. We know how that worked out, but still have some confidence in the method. Who are you touting this year (NL only)?
Eno Sarris
12:24
Yow. Yeah. I had those guys on a few teams. Carter Capps? Hector Neris for sure. So sure about Neris. Juan Nicasio? BLAKE. TREINEN.

12:25
Jon Gray or Alex Reyes and why?
Eno Sarris
12:25
Reyes better home park and third pitch is better.

How could you not know that a civet is a mammal not a rodent? And you went to Stanford? Harvard of the west coast my ass!

My Eickhoff or your Jerckhoff, Who hangs up?

i miss august, both the person and the month
Eno Sarris
12:27
Guys, this is not our best interlude game.
Lucy
12:27
what do you think about Mike Dunn's deal with the Rockies?
Eno Sarris
12:28
Going price for decent lefties with a track record. They like his velocity. We don't like his command.

It seems counterintuitive for the Padres to target any quality SPs at this point. Less they try = greater chance for #1 pick. I would assume the same for SS upgrade. Thoughts?
Eno Sarris
12:29
Eh, you can also sign/trade for some buy low guys that get you something interesting back in trade if they do bounce back. Someone asking about Clay Buchholz, that's a good name. Ty Ross could still end up there.

Any good last minute gift ideas for the significant other? Asking for a friend.
Eno Sarris
12:29
Tell me if you think of one.
Willl
12:29
Are you a Buxton believer?
Eno Sarris
12:30
Not really. I get a Cameron Maybin vibe. The injuries, the promise, the fits and starts... Buxton has more power but also more strikeouts.
Tim
12:30
Does Xander Bogaerts have 30 home run power? When do we see it?
Eno Sarris
12:31
Plus exit velo and he's tinkering with the launch angle. If he's one to one GB to FB this year, then yes, he'll hit 30 someday.

Whats worse, pumpkin beers or Christmassy-clove-nutmeg-cant-finish-a-half-a-bottle beers?
Eno Sarris
12:31
Both.
Alex
12:32
Travis Wood or Madison Bumgarner from a pure offensive standpoint for the next few years?
Eno Sarris
12:32
Bum going to get a bunch more PA.
Zach
12:32
How much does GIancarlo Stanton's injury history worry you?
Eno Sarris
12:32
Fair amount. It's not just hit by pitches any more.

Gallo in Rd 25, Lamb in 10, or Healy in 10? 10 team, 10 player keeper OBP league
Eno Sarris
12:33
I love Healy but Lamb.
Hannah Hochevar
12:33
What say you to Sullivan's assertion that the O's are better off with Joseph than Tha Beef? Also: congrats on the beer transition!
Eno Sarris
12:33
I think the pairing is interesting and will give the manager good options. Maybe you put the good framer with the bad command guy, and the better offense with the guys that are better at hitting spots? Maybe you do it by velocity of the starting pitcher?
Adam
12:34
Can you see Severino developing into a top tier starter? Always felt his lack of 3rd pitch and speed variation make him more suited for the pen.
Eno Sarris
12:34
Both of his secondaries are problems right now. He kinda needs to find both.
