Aren't rodents mammals?
Eno Sarris
1:04
I'm no expert in these matters, but yes it seems so. I bet one is a different sort of classification than the other.
Jerry

Why isnt Puig plus a couple low level prospects for Dozier happening?
Eno Sarris
1:05
I bet that's what the Dodgers are trying to push.
Doug

Do you drink beer during these chats?
Eno Sarris

It's ten am on the West Coast.

I can't be the only one who pronounces arquimedes caminero as "canyonero" in my head
Eno Sarris

There are at least two of us.

all rodents are mammals, not all mammals are rodents

There you go, that seems trustable.

These weekend holidays are going to ruin me. It's more like I don't get a weekend at all.

People with toddlers are v familiar with this sentiment.

So I checked out the K/BB leaderboards. Thoughts on Braves' Ryan Weber and Astros' Chris Devenski?
Eno Sarris
1:07
Devenski is very interesting. I actually think he made progress on his third pitch (slider) but he's either the SP6 or 7 right now... needs injury to be a starter.

Would love to get a brief breakdown on Carlos Rodon. Do we think he keeps his gains against walks and does he continue to get better? Whats a good price for him in ottoneu? is $11 too much?
Eno Sarris
1:08
$11 is fine. He has a great movement change he can't command, but he started throwing it more anyway later in the season and that was a big deal. He'll always walk too many, but strike out enough that in his best years, he's really good.

I really think you need to share your physics of hitting info with Hosmer/Moustakas. Seems right in their wheelhouse...
Eno Sarris
1:08
I bet we'd have a really great high-level convo yeah.

How much regression is Daniel Murphy due for?
Eno Sarris
1:08
Just age. That power level is due to mechanical and approach changes that should stick.

Eno! What did you think of the various STL beers you got in trade? Also, I'm starting to see some Libertine beers at my local store. Everything I've had so far is fantastic. Any favorites from them?
Eno Sarris

SLO Wild was a five-star beer for me from Libertine. 4Hands is amazing across styles. Abraxas kills it. Side Project sours and saisons are really awesome. And I can't remember... something Chestnut? make great German beers.

Someone bought me a vanilla Christmas beer (????). Someone isn't getting a Christmas gift back this year.

Last minute gift advice - make her a special treat (Gingerbread Cookies - decorated?) ...from scratch...(follow a recipe!)... box it wrap it and deliver in person to her work (or surprise in front of holiday gathering) . GUARANTEED. Effort is valuable....

Informative, funny, and angry: this is an interlude.

What would be the best solution (for the fans) to the impending Otani debacle?
Eno Sarris
1:11
Roll back the stupid 25 year old rule which was stupid.

Non-specific ideas for last minute gifts: think about what the person enjoys the most and think about what they spend the most time on. Buy something useful to one of those two areas. Example: I have a friend that loves to write, I bought her a leather bound diary.

We did a greedy santa/beer tasting hybrid where everyone brought a 6 pack, one person poured out blind tasters that recieved a number, everyone ranked the beers, and then you got to choose the numbers or steal someone else's when it was your turn. Everyone should do this. It was very fun times
Eno Sarris

Useful.

Best guess: Who is Oakland's opening day center fielder?
Eno Sarris

EibSmo.
Love me some Twinkies

If Kepler is able to be a full time outfielder this year what kind of numbers do you expect. Minor league numbers certainly show a nice mix of speed and power but that major league average was kind of ugly last year.
Eno Sarris

One thing that worried me was some soft contact. I did like the plate discipline, but worried a bit about the power.

The Reds threw the highest amount of average four-seam spin-rate fastballs in 2016. The Reds pitching staff was historically bad in 2016. Are these things related?
