Isn't using constant park factors a problem? Like if I only hit singles I look a lot better if I am in a pitchers park than a hitters park even though I'd perform the same in either park. A hitter park factor seems to punish those with below average power and not adjust enough for power hitters.
Eno Sarris
12:45
Yeah but statcast power factors could be way more dynamic. We're talking about where balls with certain velocities and angles end up and what they produce, you could have different park factors for different types of hitters.

Do you think a Puig trade is likely to happen before the season starts?
Eno Sarris
12:46
Puig and De Leon for Dozier? Seems a bit much, but I'm a Puig backer.
12:47
shared for video and also because it fits the music we playing today

% chance Paxton breaks out (top 20 sp) in 2017?
Eno Sarris
12:47
30%? Projections already have him in the top 50 or so I'd guess.

My two-year old daughter recently learned to laugh at her own farts. Proudest dad moment yet.

What are your expectations for Gsellman for next year? Also, what is a good comp for him in terms of stuff?
Eno Sarris
12:50
It's really hard to find a comp because he's got good velocity, but he's kind of kitchen sink. Who's 93+ but kitchen sink with decent command?? Like a Tanner Roark with better velo?

Found out this week there's a street in Millbrae south of SF called Ludeman Lane
Eno Sarris
12:51

xStats say Gary Sanchez was a 33 HR (extrapolated to 600PA) and .300 AVG guy last year. You buying it?
Eno Sarris
12:51
Not the batting average so much. Just think pitchers will find something to exploit.

Little surprised FA Rubby De La Rosa is still floating out there with his power arm. Is the possibility of him needing TJ surgery in the future scaring teams off?
Eno Sarris
12:51
Yeah those medicals must be scary.

Am I the only one who is not overwhelmed by the Phillies rebuild? I mean klentak did a good job considering what he had to work with but other teams like the braves, brewers and maybe padres seem to have overtaken Phillies farm system in a pretty short time. Philly has some nice depth in young guys in both majors and minors but I don't really see ace pitchers or power/on base double threat bats. Most of their hitting prospects have tools but contact or/and plate discipline issues. I think they will become better but I don't see a clear path to contender for them currently (time independent). Am I way off base?
Eno Sarris
12:54
I disagree fairly heartily, probably because I really like Nola, Eickhoff and Vazquez. And Franco and JPC. And they have money.

Time to submit my weekly question that nobody at fangraphs dares answer: who among Cessa, Green, Mitchell, Severino, and Adams will be pitching for the Yanks in August? Moreover, which of these guys, based on your opinion, *should* be starters?
Eno Sarris
12:55
They're all weird and maybe not starters. You know who I'm going to stake my claim to? Green. I know I messed up on the last Green(e), but this one has more spin, more Ks, and there's that splitter if he ever throws it.
Mike
12:55
What do you think of Good Beer Hunting? Are you guys going for a similar thing with Octo?
Eno Sarris
12:56
October is going to be more intersectional, introductional, historical, and analytical, but GBH has a big place in the middle.

Best hot sauce on the market?
Eno Sarris
12:56
I'm a big fan of Tabasco Green and Cholula and Sriracha even though I know people call it overrated i don't care.
Feeling (hot) saucy today I guess.
