would the Reds benefit from converting some more of their arms into solid relievers like they did with Iglesias, instead of trying to make starters out of them?
Eno Sarris
12:37
They have to keep making starters until they actually have a rotation though.

Talk me out of ordering a pizza for lunch and eating the leftovers for dinner
Eno Sarris
12:38
Can't do it. If my stomach let me eat pizza, I would do this sort of hting.
Halfmer
12:38
It seems like fantasy experts either love Fulmer or expect a big regression, with few opinions in between. Why such drastic opinions?
Eno Sarris
12:38
Projections. The projections are blah because his strikeout rate was blah. But his swinging strike rate wasn't blah, and his pitches... his pitches were anything but blah.

How do you see Brandon Phillips playing for the Braves? Between a 1-2 WAR guy?
Eno Sarris
12:39
Yeah. I think he'll have a 600 PA season of 1.5 ish work.
Bork
12:39
Which side of the Morales fence are you on? People seem to either think he's going to be a huge bust or a huge success.
Eno Sarris
12:39
I'm a fan.

Where do you stand on Jharel Cotton? Is he a fantasy 4 or 5?
Eno Sarris
12:40
This must be your first chat of the year. I lust after him.

What would the baseball version of the Harlem Globetrotters look like?
Eno Sarris
12:40
a bunch of knuckleballers and trick bunters?

With the glory days of SS/2B upon us, is $23 for Xander ALOnly too much?
Eno Sarris
12:41
Nope.

If you had to build a team of active managers and coaches, what would it look like?
Eno Sarris
12:41
Dave Hudgens, Dan Warthen, Bob Melvin.
Kooter
12:41
Is Sonny Gray likely to bounce back?
Eno Sarris
12:42
Still fiddling for that third pitch. Some health bounce but not sure about beyond that.
Eric S
12:42
How good do you think a full year of Edwin Diaz is? Top 5 closer? 10?
Eno Sarris
12:42
Top 5.

wOBA or wRC+?
Eno Sarris
12:42
wRC+. There are some problems with park factors but you have to account for park.

If you had to roll the dice with a late round bat and bet on upside, would you rather have Bronson, Domingo Santana, or Mazara?
Eno Sarris
12:42
In a redraft? Mazara for sure. Love him.

12:43
We know that Trout and Betts are #1/#2 AL outfielders. Who are #3-5?
Eno Sarris
12:43
Springer and uh, well, uh, huh, maybe well uh I guess uh Upton and Jones? Maybe Curz.

Does Dalton Pompey finally put it all together and take the Blue Jays LF job? If so, what would you expect from him?
Eno Sarris
12:45
it's wide open and he's 24, so the time is now. If he can find the power and beat his projection there, to the tune of league average power, he could take the job. Switch hitter with patience, league average power, speed, and better D in the corners... sounds like an Adam Eaton type to me. Maybe not as much OBP.

Capps appears to have added a double jump to his delivery this year. When does baseball have the guts to call it cheating?
Eno Sarris
12:45
God I hope that's just a practice thing.
Best answer, thank you!
12:45
Your why you love Baseball answer is wonderful. I love it because it's science and art and history and culture and math and fun all in one. It's beautiful
Eno Sarris

Have we gone overboard in the pitch frame statistic? I mean Jason Castro has a $24 million deal from MIN, but Wieters can't get a sniff of a contract? I understand he might have been looking for a lot of money initially, but this is getting out of hand. All because he's considered a bad pitch framer? There is no comparison between him and Castro yet pitch framing is winning the day? Makes no sense.
Eno Sarris
12:46
Think about how many pitches a catcher frames vs how many he gets to swing at.
