Lagunitas or Goose Island?
Eno Sarris
12:41
ooooh Goose because of the sours though every day says Lag for the IpAs.

Will the market for Darvish be pretty tepid if the Rangers decide to try to move him?  Seems like many if not most contenders are more interested in controllable starters, not just rentals.
Eno Sarris
12:42
And yet a few teams could really use him. I bet he does go and gets a decent haul.
Jeb
12:42
If McCutchen is above average at all the things you say he is wouldn't he be better than just an above average player?
Eno Sarris
12:43
Yeah that did occur to me as I typed it lol. I'd be more comfortable labeling him above average though, maybe the power is just average in today's game.

What is keeping Rhys Hoskins at Lehigh?
Eno Sarris

Shopping Murphy?

Freeman has held his BABIP in the .340-.370 range for a good 4 years now.

Such a line drive swing. Talked to him for a few minutes yesterday and ... the recorder was off. So mad. Scribbled down what I remembered, but he talked about hitting a line drive to the shortstop as his practice, and we both laughed that he's practicing making an out, but it works for him.

People are finally warming to Jordan Montgomery and I'm wondering if it's time to stop streaming him in my 12-team mixed league. Would you drop the struggling Rich Hill or Rick Porcello for him or keep streaming? Thanks.
Eno Sarris
12:44
Porcello.
Rusney
12:44
What about Rusney for Frazier? White sox get rid plus get a guy who's raking and soxs get help at 3rd
Eno Sarris
12:45
Might be enough? Sox would have to eat a lot of the money or add prospects.

Underrated second half fantasy story line – Freedie Freeman potentially gaining 3B eligibility
Eno Sarris
12:45
Here's my sweet fantasy lineup with Anthony Rizzo at second and Freddie Freeman at third.
Tebow Time
12:45
Will the Mets call Tebow up in September?  He plays best when the light shine brightest and the boost in attendance would be worth it
Eno Sarris
12:46
He's one of the worst corner outfielders to be promoted in recent times, Rob Arthur found, and he was promoted to High A.

walkup song - cespedes' Circle of life is fantastic.

Yoenis with the Lion King song is the GOAT of walkup music. Wilmer Flores with the friends theme is up there too, even if it's his alternate

What factors come into play that a player could continue to beat their xwOBA? Mallex Smith, for example, is expected to have a huge regression based on his xwOBA-wOBA, but he is incredibly fast and also also has one of the lowest average exit velocities and Brls/PA in the league. While I don't expect him to keep hitting over .300, I'm wondering if him making such poor contact could actually benefit him given his speed.
Eno Sarris
12:47
most of the xwOBA beaters are fast, yes.

Solid 50, could play anywhere, lacks star upside.

Matt Adams had Matt McConaughey's chest beating humm from Wolf of Wall Street as a walk up song...that was pretty epic
jake
12:48
so the famous warthen slider should be no more?
Eno Sarris
12:48
Little worried about it, yes.

What do you think of Sean Newcomb so far this season?
Eno Sarris
12:48
I think more walks are coming.

With how nasty Fulmer's fastball is, how is his K% so low?
Eno Sarris

Changeup swinging strike rate has the weakest relationship with overall swinging strike and strikeout rates, my theory is that the changeup elicits weak contact because batters can anticipate it in two-strike counts but still don't hit it hard.

First time caller, long time listener.  I don't think Joe Maddon is the right guy to lead the Cubs to the promised land again.  We need a guy to light a fire under their keesters.

I'll hang up and listen to your thoughts.

Everyone wants to win all the time in baseball. I hate the yelling Terry Collins types.

Eno what's up?! Loving what Khris Davis has done over the last week in Oakland. Pretty much the only bright spot for baseball in the Bay. Changing gears, it goes without saying Fieldwork Brewing stands alone and is eons above its competition, but any thoughts on other "little guys" creeping up such as Gilman Brewing Co. and  The Rare Barrel?
Eno Sarris
12:51
Rare Barrel is a giant. I like Temescal!
Rick
12:51
Kendrys Morales is killing me, brah.  Dump him and stream hot hitters like Reddick, Taylor, or Gennnet...or just hold?
Eno Sarris
12:51
You can drop for Reddick, who has contact, power, and speed.
