As a baseball player, I'm not done with him. I think he can be a plus D, 80 wRC+ guy with a little power growth. As a fantasy guy... could still .275/15/15 and be an okay deep leaguer for a few years.

Why do you guys hate me?
Eno Sarris
12:20
...

12:21
Eno, what'd I do to the fantasy gods this year?  Beltre started on the DL, then lost Eaton for the season, next it was Trout and the Turner, Trout comes back, then it's Correa, now it's Strasburg.  Why do they hate me so much?
Eno Sarris
12:21
Everyone is On the DL.
The motto of the 2017 season.

Is Jim Johnson still likely to get traded? Braves don't have a reason to keep him but the rumors surrounding him have dried up. Are other teams just not interested in him? I'm hanging onto Arodys but maybe there's no point
Eno Sarris
12:22
I don't think he's that likely to be traded. Braves need to keep getting better to keep people coming to the park, and he's not a standout reliever and he's a rental, right?

12:22
I guess you don't need to write that Matt Boyd article I kept asking you for earlier in the season...
Eno Sarris
12:23
Man I still have the interview in place. People ask who I root for, it's players like Matt Boyd, for a host of reasons. He was polite, even nice. He thinks really hard about his craft. He's made some adjustments that would be fun to illustrate.

2B has been the one black-hole in my lineup all year. However, Rizzo is only one game away from eligibility due to the Cubs weird positioning on certain bunts. The problem is he has been a game away for over a month, and they haven’t done it since. Does he get another game there?
Eno Sarris
12:23
Yeah he will. keep churning the waiver wire in the meantime.
Marc
12:23
Are you worried about Lance McCullers or ERod for the rest of the year?
Eno Sarris
12:24
Not really. I'd acquire.
Justin
12:24
Did the Cardinals find themselves an average regular in Paul Dejong?
Eno Sarris
12:25
Could be. He's a product of the juiced ball environment, I'd say. Not that he needs the ball this way to hit it out, but that he gets enough of a power boost from it to make up for being a 3/30 type. Seriously, was there ever a time when there were so many guys that struck out ten times more than they walked? ... hey that's probably a piece.

I was offered Kris Bryant and Sam Dyson for my Anthony Rendon and Aaron Nola in a 12 team roto keeper league.  I'm waffling on it as my biggest needs are average and ratios, but would be getting a nice keeper boost.  Would you accept it?
Eno Sarris
12:26
I say no. I'd only do this for the saves boost and even then if I was desperate. And I'm not saying that Rendon is better than Bryant as a keeper. I just really like Nola and find the batters close enough.

What is your long-term view on Jharel Cotton and Joe Ross?  I traded Cobb and Flexen, mostly on the promise of future strikeouts.
Eno Sarris
12:26
More in on Cotton. He has more pitches, and it's not like Joe Ross has good extension and perceived velocity anyway. And his changeup is bad. Plus his health issues are worse.

Is Paul Dejong just the middle infield version of Keon Broxton?
Eno Sarris
12:26
See?
Marc
12:26
How much should we be being into Contreras' hot streak?
Eno Sarris
12:27
Just appreciate that he's very good. Not long before him and Gary are obviously the two best offensive catchers in the league.

Trying to dump cahill at the deadline in a keeper league...is ketel marte a fair return? I need a SS
Eno Sarris
12:27
You're not going to do much better.

12:27
Who are your favorite save spec picks for post-deadline saves?
Eno Sarris
12:28
I guess Petricka now, woof. Bruce Rondon. Jeurys Familia number one. Blake Treinen is interesting. Does Keone Kela count?
Bork
12:28
How would you best explain Beltre's ejection.

Word all along has been that Franklin Barreto would be called up when Lowrie gets moved. Is a Lowrie trade still happening?
Eno Sarris
12:31
With Boston out of the picture, who's still in? Rays? Could be in the Yanks package. Gray, Lowrie, Alonso if the Yanks want to pony up. Doubt the Dodgers buy him. He might stay put.

Been watching Foltynewicz last couple of starts.  His fastball slider combo is devastating when he has them working.  Problem is he only seems to have them working half the time, and when he misses, he misses over the heart of the plate.  Still, tantalizing enough to let you dream on his upside.
Eno Sarris
12:31
I think that will describe his entire career. Bad command, I guess.
