A little but lefty splits in small samples... I'd look to the fact that he has a decent two-strike approach as evidence that he'll be able to adjust to lefties eventually.

I wouldn't have liked to have been on any side of that situation. It's fine to be critical of players, but instead of 'yuck' you can say something like, that's obviously not what he was hoping for, let's hope this thing he's got is fixed, I spoke with him and he said he didn't feel his change that day, but it's been the xth-best changeup by whatever metric. Hey, that has information for the viewer, doesn't treat the player as the punchline of a joke... don't love how the Red Sox treated him when it comes to players or organization either though. I guess Price felt he needed to be publicly shamed for the public shame he put on the player, but I'd hope for a more private scolding if I was in the same situation. And I've been privately scolded.

I've been trying to uncover a role that doesn't require 150+ days of travel a year and every evening devoted to the team and pays decently. I have a little more hope recently, but that's a unicorn job.

I'd revise that number down. I certainly agree that many are. But every clubhouse now has at least 1-3 players I'd legitimately like to have a beer with, maybe more. And that's out of 30.

I'm hanging with development. That includes injury, but improving our best practices and finding unique solutions for each player in our own organization means we'll have the breakouts from our own players instead of watching them go to another team and do it there.
