i named my son Calvin so, even though I don't mind the music, I think I'm rooting against this guy
1:36
nah, whatever, it's fun

mookie has been playing like crap. is he still worth a $25 keeper for next year? I can only keep 4
Eno Sarris
12:01
Yeah man, I think he's still a .300/25/20 type and that batting average is super rare. I know he's not doing it now but he still has all the pieces he needs to be that guy.

Think Lyons is taking over the closer gig in St. Louis?
Eno Sarris
12:02
With Cecil and Duke in the fold, they can afford a lefty closer. Yes.

12:02
Any super deep league arms you think can help for the last few weeks?
Eno Sarris
12:05
I like what Chris Stratton and Tyler Skaggs are spinning right now. Chad Kuhl. Hader just for numbers. I love love Brandon Woodruff. Deeper? Adam Morgan throwing hard right now.

In your mind, what's going on when a low-K pitcher like, say Mike Leake, has a crazy strikeout game? On 18 July 2016 he had 11 Ks in 6 IP. His stuff simply doesn't seem that good. Was this a day that he was particularly "on," a day that the batters were "off," a combination, or random variance?
Eno Sarris
12:06
I think he relies on command more than most so on those days he's probably hitting spots, feeling good athletically, and matched up with an umpire that's giving him borderline calls.
robbie
12:06
robbie ray for $6 or Rhys Hoskins for $10? keeper league. it's my last spot.
Eno Sarris
12:06
Hoskins. I always bet on the bat.

As a Jays fan, I'm pumped about Vlad Guerrero Jr. Something to hold onto given this lost season. How good can this guy really be, franchise savior at this point?
Eno Sarris
12:08
He's still fairly far away, in High-A and not even 19, but it's a sweet combination of power and contact. Gotta love those strikeout rates.

Eno -- are you an LCD Soundsystem guy?  The new album is stellar.

Best at Pitchfork this year

What's the worst-weirdest thing you ever purposely ingested?
Eno Sarris
12:10
Right now vegemite comes to mind, but it's not that weird. Sea slug is nasty. Chicken sashimi was weird and squishy. Tuna eyeball and pig eyeball... not that bad but pretty weird.

I watched the Cardinals game last night specifically for Jack Flaherty.  His fastball sits mid-90s, but it laser beam straight.  How does a guy survive throwing a pitch like that 60% of the time?
Eno Sarris
12:11
This is my problem with Flaherty. The weirdest thing was that the Giants hit the slider, which is pretty good looking. But that fastball is straight as heck so he'll need to command it great. Matchup dude for me.
Average Team Age
12:11
I think we can all agree Hoskins and Crawford are legitimate. Is an OF with Altherr, Odubel, and Williams a legitimate threat on a playoff team?
Eno Sarris
12:13
I feel like I'm taking crazy pills but I squint and see a real team emerging here. I know it was a bad year, but my team goes Franco/Crawford/Hernandez/Hoskins with Galvez and Joseph as the super subs, and that outfield is fine with me, with some star power, and we haven't even hit on a couple more guys they have in the minors. Nola is the one/two and they have to find some pitching, yes. I need to figure out why Pivetta is bad, maybe command.

Joe Biagini, the master of one step forward, two steps back. Do you think he can still be a productive part of the Jays rotation next year? His stuff seems good and he gets a lot of ground balls but he has too many stinkers (see last night).
Eno Sarris
12:14
Never wrote up that interview with him, but he's a tinkerer in a good and bad way. Something might still click, but dominance doesn't come easy to him, he doesn't have that top shelf stuff.

Who are your 4 picks for ALCS and NLCS?
Eno Sarris
12:15
Yankees Indians and Nationals D-Backs with a big fat shrug emoticon because it's hard predicting the postseason.

Joey Gallo is better than Miguel Sano fight me

I'll take the guy with fewer strikeouts so LETS GET IT ON

A lot of players get their first taste of the majors as a September callup. But we will all get called up some day to the eternal void.....drink beer, watch baseball

Dude- Earthbound Brewery in StL is my new jam. Doing incredible things. A must drink!

yeesh it was tough to finish that interlude off.

Early in the year, you said I would benefit from changing my arm slot. Any proof of this happening yet?
Eno Sarris
12:19
whoa. It's down 2.5 inches. Hasn't changed his movement much though. I still see a very boring fastball, a good change that's somehow getting spanked this year, and a meh curve.

Yesterday I had a sandwich called the "Bedtime Buddy" (and yes I will plug John Moore's deli in Hauppauge, NY).  It had a fried chicken cutlet, pepperoni, tomatoes, and spicy ranch dressing on a garlic roll.  If this place were to name a sandwich after you (they have over 100), what would be in yours?
Eno Sarris
12:21
I've got two places supposedly working on my sandwich ideas so I'll get back to you. It'll likely have something sweet, something cheesy, something spicy, and something crunchy in it.
Luke Weaver

You a fan of my arsenal?
Eno Sarris
12:22
Piece tomorrow! A few things -- deception, command, strange arsenal -- will favor him more than his projections, IMO.

I don't like Fernando Rodney, he is mean to me in the clubhouse. How should I handle this?
