Franco, let Julio get acclimated to the non-Arizona U.S. before challenging his talent.
Thanks for the Chat!

How does Jo Adell injury impact his timeline to promotion? Any chance this year?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:30
Im just not sure, it's such a weird injury
Vlade
12:30
Do you think umpires view pitch framing the same as basketball refs view flopping?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:31
I don't know but someone should ask them how they feel about it.
Jack
12:31
What is the scoop on Logan OHoppe? Did the phillies get a steal?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:32
Athletic catcher with some stick, a good 125k signing (i think, maybe it was 200?) was all good scouting and properly gauging sigability

Sometimes I see analysts say MacKenzie Gore’s ceiling is a number 1 starter and other times a 2 or even 3.  Obviously everyone has their own opinion but I’m curious what about Gore’s pitches, pitchability, etc is driving the wide range of opinions?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:34
I'm gonna say analyst credability is the issue there, not Gore.

I figured Freudis Nova would get an assignment right out of ST this year. Do you know if there's an injury involved or was he just held back to work on a few things?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:35
He was just in the GCl last year so probably ticketed for a short season affiliate and in Ext.
my questions are never answered
12:36
Who are your top 3 of: Soroka, Honeywell, Libertore, Duplantier, Manning, Puk and Kopech?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:36
(shoves pencil into ear canal)

12:37
When do you expect Wander to advance to Princeton? Late May?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:37
yeah if he rakes for a month, month and a half, that's when I think they push him
Bruno
12:38
Please discuss Taylor Trammell. Who is a good comp for him?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:39
Carl Crawford, Breatt Gardner perhaps? LF because of arm (Crawford just couldn't make reads in CF) more raw power but the approach is geared for oppo contact so unclear if he'll get to it, elite corner defender

Would you rather be on a porch in SE USA or nestled amongst the trees and vegetation of NW USA? Keep up the great work. One of my favorite baseball writers to read.
Eric A Longenhagen
12:40
I like the air and deep green of the trees up here. I like southern food a lot a lot alot, though. If you hand me a sazerac on the porch, I'm in.

Do you think JJ Bleday's performance to this point has pushed him ahead of some of the other college bats who have struggled of late and potentially as high as the top 5 (thinking specifically Detroit, considering their draft history)?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:41
Yeah Im sure he's passed others based on performance. Top 5 feels rich but I could see someone preferring his perceived certainty over that of Riley Greene or one of the other high school bats, even the higher probability ones.

12:42
Hunter Bishop has been ridic lately. Chance he goes top 5 at this point?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:42
Again, kind of rich for me. Top 10-12? Yeah. Are teams gonna look at his trak record, see he's been good just one year, an get scared? Some might.
Palumbo Gumbo
12:44
Joe Palumbo this year's Post-TJ Paddack?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:44
obviously they're different from a stuff/command standpoint but yeah, Palumbo could move quickly now nd see the bigs early next year. His stuff is very good

Cardinal prospect Nolan Gorman hit that HR this spring which was cool. What level do you see him reaching this season, and what kind of slash line do you see? I know he's got some contact issues.
Eric A Longenhagen
12:45
Maybe he sees Hi-A in the second half if he performs
Rob
12:46
Twins next on the prospect lists?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:46
CLE, KCR, then MIN. Nearly done now.
12:47
Sourcing all the spin rates was a great idea and I hope you all like them but it was also dumb from a time standpoint

Realizing Moncada is not a prospect anymore, he sits at 30/60 hit tool in the database. What does hitting his upside look like at the plate? And is this season the beginning of the breakout?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:48
i over-projected the bat. I think he could be a high-end walk rate guy and hit for a ton of power but he'll always be a 40 bat-to-ball guy, I think. Which is fine, should still be really good.

blue velvet or mullholland drive? Mullholland drive or sunset blvd?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:49
Blue Velvet is better but I like Mullholland Drive more, uber alles.

Hi Eric! Do you know of any draft prospects associated with the Dbacks right now? If not, what kind of strategy do you think they should take? Thank you!
Eric A Longenhagen
12:52
Hazen has seen Josh Jung, Sawadye saw Corbin Carroll this week but he's everywhere. I think they're going to be prepared for anything
Colin
12:52
Hi Eric. Margevicius has a nice debut. Anything more than a #5 SP there?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:52
I think he's a 5 but you could talk me into rounding up based on deception/spin efficiency
Jack
12:53
Your pick for breakout phillies prospect this year?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:53
One of those weird arms like Parkinson or Falter
