I wouldn't call it a comp as much as I'd say if you trace deGrom's career backward it goes through a vein that Tahnaj occupies right now, and he's maybe the only one in the minors for whom you can say that.

I was just pushing back against the Gleyber Torres comps people in my chat queue kept making and, based on their omnipresence in other publications, are likely to have come from a source with the Rangers which is clearly not objective.
