Who is the best pure hitter you have ever seen, who did NOT have a good mlb career?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:49
Just hitting? Steven Susdorf.
12:52
You know most of the famous guys like Hader, Martes, Buehler. If they're long term bullpen guys I think they'll be very good. Relief-only debuts are like Keynan Middleton, AJ Minter, Domingo German, maybe Dillon Maples.

Which relief prospects, who made their MLB debuts this season, do you see as being very good in the future?
Eric A Longenhagen

Hi, Eric. Thanks for the chat. I'm curious about the potential future of CF prospects in three different orgs. How would you rank Roman Quinn, Andrew Stevenson, and Carlos Tocci long term?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:52
Q, Stevenson, Tocci.

It's hard for me to get a handle on who Jonathan Hernandez is.  The control issues have been an unpleasant surprise.  The velocity seems to have been all over the place the last two years.  Is this a 40 FV prospect?  A weak 45 thanks to the velo bump?  What risk would you attach to the profile?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:53
I'm with you. Tough to gauge exactly what's going on. He was a pitchability righty here in AZ a few years ago and now scouts make it sound like he's a wild arm strength guy. Probably still just a 40 for me.

Do you think Colorado's plethora of hitter-friendly minor-league parks ultimately does their hitters a disservice in terms of development?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:54
Maybe, but could you also argue it battle-hardens their pitching prospects in an appropriate way?

Out of Brandon Marsh, Monte Harrison and Akil Baddoo who is your favorite to become an above average everyday regular?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:55
Monte, but I like all of those guys

What did Barry Bonds' scouting reports look like?  Did he have an 80 hit tool?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:55
Like Grace Kelly in Rear Window
Sandy Ravage
12:55
Which OF prospect takes the biggest leap this year: Monte Harrison, Leody Taveras, Juan Soto, Luis Robert or Estevan Florial?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:57
I suppose Soto has the most room between where his stock is after a year of injury and where it could be if he comes back and hits his way to the upper levels.

Seuly Matias looked drool-worthy on the field this year but his numbers were just okay.  Is it too rich to call him a 50 FV?  Is there a key developmental gain to watch for next year?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:58
Half grade too rich but yeah, monster tools.
And obviously we wanna see the K rate come down

12:58
How did the giants go from producing a homegrown all-star a year to getting basically nothing for the last 3-4 years
Eric A Longenhagen
12:59
When your team is good for so long, it gets harder to pluck quick-moving studs in the draft.
Corey

Is there such a thing as having too many prospects?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:59
Hell no

Who do you project a better pro: Adam Haseley or Jo Adell?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:00
I'd take Adell but some teams preferred Haseley on draft day.

Would you still place a 55 FV on Gsellman after last year?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:00
Probably not, but I'm still in on him as a valuable big league starter.

Loved the write up on Lolo Sanchez. Where does an "aggressive assignment" look like for him in 2018?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:02
Skipping NYPL and Appy leagues and going right to Low-A

Thoughts on RP Gabriel Moya?
Eric A Longenhagen

I buy it. Fringey velo but 70 changeup, late-inning makeup.

Which Giants prospect would you bet on, who is currently not in the top 10, but will be in the top 5 after 2018 season. The number 2 draft pick doesn’t count!!
Eric A Longenhagen

I like Kelvin Beltre, Melvin Adon, Camilo Dovall and Alex Canario

Please share a bit about Wadye Infante (happy to see you rank him fairly high in a decent system). I get that he was strikeout-prone at a loooow level, but with a .299/.374/.491 slash, your estimate of his hit tool surprised me. At what level is the competition strong enough that you'd believe that level of production suggests a better than 20 hit tool?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:07
20 is the hit tool at the big league level right now (like if you threw him in a big league game), not hit tool relative to current level. I like him. Not much projection on the body but plus speed, already has good raw power and hitting ability, good makeup.

Been hearing more about Gabriel Arias in recent days. Is he really a monster in the making or more of a 50/50 hit/power guy that happens to be getting hype because he's hitting baseballs at 17?
Eric A Longenhagen

50 hit 50 game power on a plus defensive shortstop deserves a lot of hype, in my opinion.
