Hi, everyone. Sorry the chat is late today. I was beginning work on the Cardinals list.
Brewers list went up today, so check that out if you haven't already.
Okay, off we go...

How many prospects in the Atlanta system would be the top prospect in the Marlins' system?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:32
Like 6? Don't sleep on Braxton Garrett.

If a player had an 80 hit tool, but the rest of his tools were 20, what would his ceiling be? Incredible pinch hitter?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:32
Non-prospect.

For good development purposes, would you give Moncada or Bellinger more than 200 MLB ABs this year?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:33
Moncada yes. Bellinger's development takes a back seat to the club's chances of winning a WS.
That doesn't mean he won't play in the Majors but his development is less of a prioirit for LA than Moncada's is for CHW because LA has a chance to win the whole thing.

Thank you for your prospect lists, they are great! You seem higher on Jemeir Candelario than most sources, despite the fact that you are not a believer in him at 3B. You must really love the bat more than most then, right?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:34
Love the bat to ball and the feel for the strike zone.

1:34
who do you think will be the youngest prospect in your top 20?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:34
Just off the top of my head, I'm pretty sure it's Espinoza.

This is extreme, but how valuable would a superb defensive player be with Chris Carter's offensive statline. Pretend somehow Michael Gettys is that guy. What kind of WAR would we be talking about here?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:34
You're basically talking about Mike Cameron.
Barnard
1:34
If you had to select one current player in minor league baseball who has the chance to become the best player of all time, however minuscule that chance is, who would it be?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:34
Well...my top is guy Moncada.

A BA writer wrote that Morejon would have been drafted ahead of Groome. Forgetting any potential makeup concerns, is Morejon a better talent?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:35
You can't just scrub makeup from the equation.
Morejon has better stuff right now, Groome has more projection.
But I agree Morejon would've gone first.

I traded Isan Diaz last month for Delvin Perez in a deep league (floors matter). How many times should I slap myself right now?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:36
I have the same FVs on them (I think, Delvin is either a 55 or 60) so you didn't do badly. I really like Diaz.

How does the draft crop this year compare to recent years?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:36
I think it's quite good.
1:37
I'm lower on the prep SS group than most but we essentially had one guy last year so....
Carl Fogarty
1:37
At this point, which Reds' lefty appears poised for the brighter future: Amir Garrett or Cody Reed?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:37
Reed has better stuff, Garrett better control and projection at this point. Reed has the higher ceiling for me but Garrett is at least a backend starter for a long, long time.
Erik
1:38
Do the Cubs have any prospects good enough to be 5th starters ready to come up at some point this year?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:39
Probably one of Zastryzny and Johnson comes up to pitch in that role at some point but I think both of them are depth arms in the long run.

Prospect-ish question. Favorite minor league hat? Favorite hat that you own?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:40
I'm not a hat-wearer but I have an IronPigs hat from when I was told to work concessions during my internship there. Jill has a Salt River Rafters hat she wears sometimes. That's about the extent of baseball hats in our house.
Kiermaier's Piercing Green Eyes

Who do you like better going forward, De Leon or Honeywell?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:40
Both 55s for me. I "like" Honeywell more because he's kind of a unicorn.
Dan
1:41
Should the Yankees permanently move Mateo to CF? Does he have the bat to play there? The glove?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:41
I haven't done a whole lot of work on him because the Yankees list is still a bit away but my gut tells me that's ultimately where he ends up. I reserve the right to change my mind on that in the near future, though.
Rick
1:42
Based on your comments on Corey ray, would it be fair to say his ceiling is above a 60?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:42
Oh yeah, if he plays CF and hits 25 homers then he's probably better than a 60. Not everyone thinks he does either/both of those though.
And the meniscus tear....
