I know this is somewhat controversial, but I LOVE the current playoff format. It heavily incentivizes winning the division, which is good, and also guarantees a couple high stakes, high pressure games right out of the gate in the postseason. And like, who really gives a shit about the Dodgers-Giants race if not for the one-game wildcard game?? It's great
