Ben Clemens

give it a few months
Daulton VarSHOW
6:04
so you're saying Chapman is a dark horse for a 25/15 season
Kyle Kishimoto
6:04
he is 7/17 on career steal attempts
Chili Beans

Why do I listen to Eno Sarris about Mitch Keller every year? Why?
Ben Clemens
6:04
I do too lol
6:05
And it always seems like it should work right up until it doesn't
Appa Yip Yip
6:05
What is this curveball Thompson is throwing isn't that illegal in Missouri?
Ben Clemens
6:05
Currently pending executive veto
Killing me Smalls

San Diego has to sign pitching this offseason, right. Not a whole lot coming through the upper minors besides Groome.
Ben Clemens
6:05
yeah I think that this had a lot to do with the Darvish extension
Kyle Kishimoto
6:05
phillies bullpen moment, gregory soto allowing 4 runs without recording an out
Leo Morgenstern
6:07
Funniliy enough, it was a wild throw to the plate – but not a pitch – that really did him in
Ben Clemens
6:06
the cupboard is gonna be bare, what you do about it matters
so starting early is smart, imo
like an upscale version of what the Cards did with Mikolas
Morbo

Players like Arenado and Chapman are probably a bit under utilized at 3b vs SS
Kyle Kishimoto
6:07
if it aint broke don't fix it, these guys are platinum glove winners at 3b
defensive range skills don't directly transfer from 3b to ss
Ben Clemens
6:08
yeah. some of Arenado's value comes from range, but a lot of it comes from the fact that he's a mobile cannon
like, he can just effortlessly plant and max effort a throw from anywhere
that really plays up at third

I think it's (Mitch Keller's issues) because his stuff plus is good, but his command+ is 12 sometimes.  That was an 0-2 pitch; you just can't throw it there.
Kyle Kishimoto
6:08
look at these pitch maps, nola is perfectly dotting breaking balls and changeups at the bottom of the zone then soto and brogdon come in and start making abstract art with their pitches

Soto thinks of himself as a closer and closers do not pitch well in other situations.
Leo Morgenstern
6:09
I think he's had enough time to process the fact that he wasn't going to be the closer in Philly. I'm hopeful that pitching in lower leverage spots will actually be good for him
Ben Clemens
6:10
whoa ho ho Bo tried for another error and almost got it

Ontario wins
Vin
6:10
Bo just really wants to give more souvenirs to the fans
5 Run Homer
6:11
With an assist from Quebec
Bo is really lucky that Vladdy is so good at those swipe tags coming off the base
Ben Clemens
6:14
Interesting that the Jays brought in Eric Swanson to face a lefty, I thikn it's a chase stuff vs. chase hitter thing
Kyle Kishimoto
6:14
also a wicked splitter vs a opposite handed hitter thing
Ben Clemens
6:14
seemed to work!
5 Run Homer
6:14
I switched to Mets-Marlins on my second screen after deGrom was pulled and just checked the score in Texas… what on earth happened
Ben Clemens
6:14
Someone turned on the multi-ball scoring bonus
Justin

Going to the A's game tonight to watch Ohtani/Trout. But who on the A's is worth paying attention to?
Ben Clemens
6:15

He's gonna be so fun
Kyle Kishimoto
6:15
