I liked the 2011 WS calls
But I, and he, may have been biased
I mean, just lol Eddie Rosario
When you're hot you're hot
Luke Hooper

Really!? Haha I was just about to reference Game 6 as peak bored buck.
Ben Clemens
9:57
you didn't like 'and we will see you tomorrow night'?
It's very funny that Dusty is now peak sabermetric with his bullpen decisions, by the way
9:58
Third time through? Get him!
Luke Hooper

I mean that's a classic call sure. But he uses that a lot. He did that as far back as the Boston comeback.
Tony Snell

Buck should be the bulk broadcaster and then you bring in someone who's more animated to finish off the big moments
Lily

"And we will see you tomorrow night" just reminds everyone that he only  has his job because his last name is Buck.
Ben Clemens
9:59
Now that's fair, lol
I did partially like it b/c it reminded me of Jack Buck

The walk off was fine. It's more all the other ridiculous plays in that game.

This really is a miserable slog of a game though...

Which do you think will cause more fans to lose their home in the next 5 years: MLB promoting cryptocurrency or MLB promoting sports gambling?
Ben Clemens

Hey I've been enjoying it!

Peak bored announcer? A particular orioles broadcaster said during a 2009ish August blowout, "here we are, moving into the bottom of the fifth.... sometimes this game will make you want to do that."

I didn't even realize that Ian Anderson hadn't allowed a h*t.

It doens't feel like he's throwing a no hitter
Ben Clemens
10:03
Oh, I thought Russ meant 'hat'

I have come to like Dusty more since I read an interview ere he admitted his earlier managerial errors. The fact that he has evolved has allowed him to stay in the game.
AvatarDan Szymborski
10:03
He hasn't allowed a hut, either, as no makeshift dwellings have been constructed on the field
Ben Clemens
10:03
Hugh, I TOTALLY agree

Would you support the World Series in a neutral site every year?  That way we could use a domed stadium (or maybe a location in SoCal) so teams don't have to put up with  the miserable weather every October.  The revenue from the games could still be given to the two teams playing the game (perhaps with an offset for the club operating the stadium solely for the expenses of doing so), and we could find another way to give the team with the better record an advantage (home field advantage matters little in baseball anyway).

No.
World Series isn't a BIG EVENTS like the super bowl is
