Still, $14 is probably about right. Remember though, he's entering his age 31 season. Some people still assume he's young. Could you maybe trade him?

In a league with six pitching categories (wins, saves, innings pitched, WHIP, ERA, and strikeouts) would you rely heavily on Jake deGrom, with the injury concern? I know there are so many variables, but I finished second in the league last year, largely due to his outstanding numbers, even with his numerous stints on the DL.

What you rely upon is in part a matter of circumstance. If you're keeping deGrom, then circumstance dictates you rely upon him. If you're considering re-drafting him, then it's all about getting value relative to your alternatives.

Fantasy baseball is not so different. You need to know how your roster is meant to deliver your victory, where it needs buttressing, and where you need to experiment/dig for gold.

If you're leaning on deGrom, then you might also consider how you'd survive if his elbow pops in April or May.
ok, that's all folks. A couple buzzer beaters came in which I'll answer as the chat closes.
