I agree with the industry consensus which is in the neighborhood of pick 20-25.
High risk, high reward gamble there. Personally, I'd probably aim at him closer to pick 30 as I'm risk averse early.

Impressive that your last keepers are Bell or Adell. I'd shoot for the upside of Adell personally. The rep level 1B in 12-team mixed isn't that much worse than Bell. Could even be better.

I don't have a recent report from a Phillies contact, but I do think this was a normal growing pains season from a guy whose always had an unusual profile.

Another big-bodied guy whose swing is built to go high-contact oppo-field over big pulled power.
I don't trust Phillies player dev to help him be himself.

Wiemer has performed well whenever I've watched him. Scouts tell me to be cautious.
de la Cruz is very well-regarded. Seems Top 100 bound.

Which service has the best leagues? I played ottoneu last year, but I was wondering if there was a similar type league that doesn't cost money

Well, there isn't really a comp to ottoneu, though you can build something similar in FanTrax if you also have a very active commish.
It's a lot of work to copy.
My 2 cents on platforms - Yahoo still wins the ease-of-use category. FanTrax can do just about anything you want (usually for free).

Yahoo's great for a generic 12-team mixed league.

Ottoneu's my favorite pre-package "custom scenario." It's kind of dynasty-lite with a lot of in-built features.
full disclosure, I spent a LOT of time writer for FanGraphs and about Ottoneu so I'm partial to it.

I honestly hate QS. It was a bad stat when SPs routinely threw 6 IP, and it's a worse stat now that only 20 guys reliably pitch into the seventh frame.

I get that wins are dissatisfying in so many ways. But at least you can manage for them in creative ways besides "draft top 20 SP or get VERY lucky finding the one or two Rodon types"

Neither. I think we got a very good look at what he is - a core performer who can do a little of everything.

Honestly, despite his 2021 for the ages, I think the Ohtani experiment has confirmed it's better to specialize. He's missed so much time related to arm issues. He could have been a top OFer instead.

I think most teams would choose reliable top 10 OFer over insane volatility 2-way player.

It's a passable approach to H2H. I usually try to dominate in a specific way which seems to be your plan.
I usually go in the other direction because the pitching categories tend to be more consistent on a week-to-week basis.

Earlier, I gave some advice to go prospect when there's no pressure to spike the pick. The same applies to Kelenic. He's going 126 in NFBC between Trent Grisham and Myles Straw

I'd maybe inch him into my top 100 under certain conditions, but I'd feel a lot better targeting him if he falls. Kelenic is one of those guys you might chase because you are behind in HR and SB.
