I'd go Tellez. I can't find anybody who thinks Beer will hit. That includes an AZ source and a bunch of guys who have seen him over dozens of PA.

I paid $11 for Luis Severino last year, expecting him to come back strong in the second half, or at least be a good value for two more years after. Is he worth that price going into this season?
Brad Johnson
1:17
Yes, I think so. High risk, high reward.

Comeback Player of the Year?
Brad Johnson
1:18
Severino? Verlander? Greinke? Carrasco? Lot of options on the pitching side.
Moustakas or Eugenio Suarez on the hitting side?
I'm sure if I sat and thought about it, I'd have 40 or 50 names
(like Kyle Lewis)

For some bizarre and unexplainable reason, my league requires 2 catchers in the starting lineup. Beyond getting one of the "elite" catchers, what other under the radar catchers should I pick up?
Brad Johnson
1:19
I like Austin Nola for a "free" rebound. I'd also stash MJ Melendez.

In a doomsday scenario of no season, what would you recommend for a league that operates with option years and contracts?
Brad Johnson
1:19
That... seems complicated.
1:20
Tell you what - if it happens, ping me on Twitter (@BaseballATeam) and I'll help you out with it.
Hopefully we don't have to cross that bridge.

Any chance Yelich is the Comeback Guy, or is he toast?
Brad Johnson
1:20
Definitely could be. Bellinger too.
Who

What are the two hitting stats you look at most when drafting? As in I have power but I need…to round out my lineup.
Brad Johnson
1:21
I don't *really* approach it this way, but I do tend to worry a little more about balancing HR against AVG. I usually let the other stats happen. I try to draft good roles as a matter of course. Sometimes that leads to lopsided R or RBI output which I have to solve in-season.

2022 minor leaguer that I can stash this year in a minor league spot and keep for free next that will be ready mid to end of year this year
Brad Johnson
1:22
I'm going to go ahead and assume the really huge names are gone.
Pitchers usually get overlooked in these sorts of formats, maybe Grayson Rodriguez is there?
1:23
Josh Jung, Gabriel Moreno, Alek Thomas, Corbin Carroll, Casas, Melendez, Brennan Davis
1:24
I'm probably missing some
Jeremy Pena, but he might be up immediately.
It's time for me to wrap it up
Few more

Paul Goldschmidt or Matt Olson? Roto redraft league
Brad Johnson
1:25
Same bucket for me. Decide if you're more worried about AVG (Goldy) or HR (olson)

What are your expectations for Shane Bieber this season?
Brad Johnson
1:26
As far as I'm aware, he's fully healthy and incredibly talented. But he's a little like Carrasco in that he's all offspeed stuff and no fastball. Can lead to some hiccups, especially with a weird ramp up.
I'm avoiding at ADP, but looking to take him if he slides. I'll also buy if he gets off to a bad start. Probably.

Do you nominate in positions you've already selected - say, you won Tatis fairly early, would you nominate other high value SS (not intending to bid further unless it was cheap enough that you were okay with the backup at that price)?
Brad Johnson
1:27
Sometimes. I try to create scarcity too if the opportunity presents itself. I should have said earlier - nominate CL early this year.
1:28
They'll all go for crazy numbers. And I recommend overpaying for whoever is first.
You'll drop $22 on Hader then see Hendriks go for $27 and Diaz for $23

Any chance of a dead cat bounce left in someone like Dahl, Alford, Heyward or Aquino?
Brad Johnson
1:28
Technically, only Heyward qualifies for a dcb
1:29
The rest never actually established themselves as good players.
Not truly
And I do think Dahl and Aquino could find their way with luck and the right club.
