Houck vs BAL or Luzardo vs SEA this week?
Brad Johnson
1:02
Gotta go for Luzardo imo. They're similar projections but Houck's more of a random number generator.

Assuming health, does Torkelson get to 30+ homers this year?
Brad Johnson
1:02
30 seems high. Let's go to the calculator!
1:03
35 HR per 650 PA.
1:04
With injuries ON, take the under
barring injuries, looks like the over. I'm surprised, actually.
Casadesus

Just swapped out K. Hayes for T. France. Will I soon be filled with regret?
Brad Johnson
1:04
I suspect you have a hidden third choice which was the true correct move
1:05
I think they're comparable quality players so you shouldn't regret it in that respect.
Time to start wrapping it up already! Don't worry, I wrap slow.

Do you believe Abrams has a higher ceiling then Pena?
Brad Johnson
1:05
Yes, certainly
1:06
But I will say I haven't had more than 1-2 looks at Abrams nor have I asked any of my sources about him because I focus on much deeper players.
It's quite possible Pena's mean/median is higher than Abrams'
1:07
While the fantasy industry loves to focus on ceiling, most players play to their means.

Talk more about Munoz - opportunity/likelihood to close, given other bullpen options?
Brad Johnson
1:07
Well yes, that is the challenge for him isn't it.
1:08
Watch him pitch for 3 batters and you'll see he's on par with the best stuff relievers in the league. Hader, Clase, Duran, Chapman
Guys whose stuff just isn't fair
1:09
But... it is a very deep pen so they have the option of sculpting him for any role they deem to be most-valuable.
A lot of teams are preferring their best reliever to work in a fireman role rather than as the closer
And that's not a bad thing!
If that's how Munoz is used, he'll have a good shot at 10 wins and 10 saves.
1:10
Any reliever who accomplishes that with his potential for 100 K and tiny rates is a Top 10 fantasy reliever candidate.
Saves aren't everything.
Gallo
1:10
Should i just be dropped in fantasy?
Brad Johnson
1:11
It hurts, but this is what you signed up for with Gallo. He's very bad for 50 PAs and then he'll hit 9 HR over another 50 PA split. I'm rolling with it - at least until the Yankees give him the Gleyber treatment.

Does Gio Irshela have value or would you go with Tellez, Aguilar or Vogelbach?
Brad Johnson
1:11
Same asset class. Stream 'em based on matchup!

Tell me I was smart for not dropping Joey Votto for Josh Naylor last night. It
Brad Johnson
1:12
I think so... I'm not certain though which isn't ideal
Votto could be out of bounces
Tyler

Drop either Willy Adames or Steven Kwan for either of Alec Bohm or Jurickson Profar?
Brad Johnson
1:13
Skip Profar. At least imo, he's not a buy for another 100 PA, especially with that quality of name already on your roster
I'd hold what you have

when will MLB penalize teams for unruly fans ( Yankee Stadium) and how can they penalize them. It's very dangerous, and puts players at risk of getting plucked with bottles.
Brad Johnson
1:15
MLB fines teams for these incidents. I don't know how consistently they do so. I know I was at a Phillies game maybe 20 years ago where a combination of bad umpiring and an aerodynamic free schedule magnet giveaway led to a hefty fine.

Is bohm bat breaking out?  Or smoke and mirrors
Brad Johnson
1:15
A bit of a quibble, but I would call it getting back to his roots more than a breakout.
