Brad Johnson

Though he makes up for it by stealing looking strikes
Also not thrilled about a FB guy at Yankee Stadium
Stash Em

What starting pitchers close to the majors you would consider stashing currently?
Brad Johnson
12:57
Matt Liberatore, Zack Thompson (STL), Ken Waldichuk, Hayden Wesneski, Max Meyer come to mind

Xander Boegarts to Mets?
Brad Johnson
12:57
Wait, wut? Nonsense.
Whitlock
12:58
Will he become an SP or RP long term? I don’t need him if it’s RP
Brad Johnson
12:58
He's a starter
Peter
12:58
Thoughts on Strider? Need another starter, drafted him and dropped him and just picked him back up today..
Brad Johnson
12:58
Elite RP, not a starter
Have it from several reliable sources he'll relieve long term
Best outcome for us this year is he bulk relieves and smashes wins.
Clark
12:59
Have to drop pitcher. Can do that but don’t like bench hitters
Brad Johnson
12:59
This relates to the drop Grichuk for Story question earlier.
I'd look into carrying a bat temporarily. I wouldn't want Story in the lineup immediately.
KC

Hold onto JP Crawford or try to trade him for someone like Jazz Chisholm or who would you suggest?
Brad Johnson
1:00
If you can get Jazz or a similar talent for Crawford, you gotta do it.
Crawford's looked great and could be breaking out in a small way, but it's likelier he's just a guy.
Oneil Cruz

Am I coming up soon? Aren't we past Super Tuesday
Brad Johnson
1:01
We aren't, but he's also not hitting.
Eli

No real question just wanted to say thanks for giving us the advice to hold off and drafting catchers early and pick Varsho in the later rounds.
Brad Johnson
1:01
You're welcome! The easiest advice I give every year - draft the non-C with C-eligibility
1:02
Isn't always a candidate, but when there is, they pay out nearly every time.

Hi Brad. Who is more likely of the three to have a better year fantasy-wise and why, Alex Thomas, Riley Greene or Royce Lewis?
Brad Johnson
1:03
I'd list Lewis last if only because his path to full playing time is the most tortured
They're all quite talented and could fill up fantasy stat lines.
1:04
I prefer Thomas to Greene if only because Thomas is in the Majors now and healthy. Greene might come back rusty or even never make it this year. Not saying that's a likely outcome, but it shouldn't be ruled out either.
1:05
And I mean the Majors. His injury has a good prognosis for full recovery

Are you worried about the Red Sox or is it too soon to tell?
Brad Johnson
1:05
Oh yea, super worried. They're going to be deadline sellers at this rate. We're verging out of fantasy territory so I'll just say to keep an eye on them in NL/AL Only formats.

I got Degrom, was offered Cole straight up for him. Should I do it?
Brad Johnson
1:06
I'd do it.
You're heavily favored even if I think everyone in the world agrees deGrom>Cole when healthy.
Corey seager
1:06
Whats going with me? I should start to heat up soon given my track record?
Brad Johnson
1:06
Yes, gimme a second and I can look closer
1:07
He's one of those guys I've repeatedly checked the surface level stats and seen nothing wrong.
You know... there is one thing to worry about. Willie Calhoun recently complained about it too.
1:08
Seager's launch angle is way up. His .250 BABIP is ludicrously low for him but also not terribly unlucky based on his actual batted balls.
1:09
Scouts tell me the Rangers have the worst instructors in the league. Calhoun complained they kept making him loft the ball even though he doesn't have the kind of power.
Seager's similar in some ways. He needs to be emulating Freddie Freeman, not Joey Gallo.
