I could answer that more completely if I took a 15-minute look around, but I'll suggest some names off the top of my head.
1:26
Jose Alvarado, Andres Munoz, A.J. Puk, Jonathan Hernandez, Alexis Diaz, Jordan Hicks, Raisel Iglesias
Diaz is kinda already the closer, but the others aren't working the ninth at the moment.

Always enjoy these, thanks for hosting.

Hello!  my fantasy season is only a week, and doesn't include the last series of the year.  So I have Kyle Bradish for 2 starts (at BOS, at NYY) versus Logan Gilbert for one (OAK).  H2H points, who has the better week?  Thank you!
Brad Johnson
1:27
Gilbert is certainly a MUCH safer play. It's a matter of choosing Ks and two shots at a W over very likely better ratios from Gilbert.
Garrett Whitlock
1:27
When I get to spring training am I a starter or relevier? Could I be Boston's closer?
Brad Johnson
1:28
I think he's seen as a multi-inning reliever who could pick up some but not all of the save opportunities. Same with Houck.
Depending on how they do with their offseason signings, they might be tempted to use one or both in the rotation just out of need.
1:29
There's even a scenario in which they let Bogaerts walk, trade Devers, and strip down for a renewed run in 2024 or 2025.
In that case, Whitlock and Houck probably both start.

Debating between keeping Max Muncy or Ketel Marte as my 9th keeper (9 keeper league). Who would you rather keep?
Brad Johnson
1:29
In AVG, I prefer Ketel. In OBP, I like Muncy more.

Do you believe Brennan Davis will become a solid fantasy option or should I sell?
Brad Johnson
1:30
If you can still sell, I'd definitely look into it. Stock is WAY down.
I'm not optimistic, but I don't have my finger on this particular pulse.

Hi Brad, love your chats. which of these prospects do you think have the better long term value, Adael Amador, Mick Abel or Masyn Winn? 14 team auction keeper league with 45 man rosters, amount of keepers based on finish of previous year 7-15 keepers plus $5 increase, we can carry over 5-7 minor leaguers with no increase, typically a $1 bid, so we generally go pretty deep into minors.
Brad Johnson
1:31
I think I like Winn the most of that group for roto purposes
1:33
Bonus, he should arrive next season. Amador has awhile yet to go. And Abel is destined for an unforgiving home park/division. Command isn't great. He should be up next year, but I don't expect him to be fantasy viable for a few years yet.

Keeper decision, must pick 1 batter and 1 pitcher and the 3rd is my choice...
Luis Robert, Julio Rodriguez, Jose Ramirez, Verlander, Burnes
Brad Johnson
1:33
It's good to be rich. I think you gotta go Julio, Ramirez, and Burnes.
Sarge Matthews

Do you think the changes to base dimensions will have much of an impact next year?
Brad Johnson
1:34
No, as fans, we'll be virtually unaware.
And since they changed the pickover rule at the same time, we'll have no way to separate out the "larger base effect"
Bae
1:34
I dropped Ruiz for Bae, which one will be better going forward?
Brad Johnson
1:35
I perceive Bae as a high floor, medium ceiling type. Ruiz's floor/ceiling is somewhere between rarely in the Majors and annual top 50 fantasy pick.
Just Asking For a friend
1:35
Speaking of Torkelson, is he worth keeping around as 1 of 4 keepers?
Brad Johnson
1:36
I don't think so, but I'd need to know your alternatives.
Springer/Arenado/Freeman
1:36
I’m allowed to keep two out of three in 2023. Which two would you keep?
Brad Johnson
1:36
I lean Arenado and Freeman
Scoresheet BB
1:36
Scoresheet question:  Is Brendon Donovan a keeper
Brad Johnson
1:37
It's been ages since I did anything scoresheet related. I think so, but you should ask somebody else
Johnny
1:37
Is Clay Holmes the closer for the Yankees in 2023?
Brad Johnson
1:37
Probably. They're the Yankees so they could go and get a top closer - the White Sox might be willing to trade Hendriks. Hader might be freshly available.
1:38
But Holmes is pretty similar in quality to Clase. So they should be happy enough with him.
Ryan
1:38
Holmes or Chapman ROS?
Brad Johnson
1:38
Holmes, but this is another case where I haven't been tracking closely enough to be certain.

What the hell happened to Giolito and Berrios this year?
