Oswaldo Peraza or Eziquiel Tovar - Which has a better chance of finishing in the top 10 of SS?
Brad Johnson
1:22
This year? Peraza.
Pretty low odds for both imo
Tovar is classic glove over bat profile at the moment
1:23
Peraza 1. probably has growing pains and 2. could be surpassed by Volpe at any time
Doug
1:23
Who will be this year's surprise closer?
Brad Johnson
1:24
Huascar Brazoban?
Carlos Vargas?
Jeremiah Estrada is the one folks are betting upon
SODO MOJO
1:24
Are you chasing any saves from Munoz and or Sewald; or are you letting another drafter make that move?
Brad Johnson
1:25
I haven't gotten the right value for them (I do have some Sewald keeps) in drafts yet. I actively want them.
They're guys who are valuable even with no saves.

Great work on these chats! Should I keep Luis Robert or Ozzie Albies in a points league?
Brad Johnson
1:25
Depends on the exact scoring, but I lean Robert without knowing more.
Raleigh
1:25
Thoughts on Ryan Noda?  Fantasy relevant or irrelevant?  Thanks.
Brad Johnson
1:26
Probably irrelevant outside of OBP formats. Even then, he has to crack the lineup which isn't a lock. He's loosely Vogelbach-ish
Pain Relief
1:26
Generally, how do you feel about drafting relievers earlier? I feel like most don't really return value equivalent to their draft slot.
Brad Johnson
1:27
I think reliever strategy should directly reflect your waiver strategy
If you're first to the wire in open waivers leagues or plan to spend a lot of FAAB on pop-up guys, then you can prioritize "value" in drafts. If you miss the pop-up guys, go out of your way to get some top CLs.
better at 2nd?
1:28
Who has a better year, Vaughn Grissom or CJ Abrams?
Brad Johnson
1:28
Grissom is the better play presently. Abrams has lost some luster, though he has plenty of time to regain it.
Jazz or May
1:28
I play in a 12 team, limited keeper league where about 8 of the top 25 are kept. Would you keep Chisholm and lose the 5th round pick or Dustin May and lose the 17th round?
Brad Johnson
1:28
That's tricky for me to weigh as an outsider.
1:29
I'll say, there are a lot of pitchers like May. There aren't many 2B/CF with Chisholm's poor man's Tatis traits.

How do you feel about Michael Massey for 2nd base?
Brad Johnson
1:29
Pretty uninspired
1:30
Like, he's fine. But he's kinda Joey Wendle redux. What categories is he helping?
Ball Changes
1:30
Do you think we will have a dead ball similar to last year or a live ball like pre 2019?
Brad Johnson
1:31
Sooooo, this is a huge thing because we don't have evidence of a dead ball last year. What we do have evidence of is that humidors + cold weather = a dead-looking ball.
I fully expect another sloooooow offensive April
Honestly, this doesn't really effect strategy except that you should pile up as many IP as possible early on if you have a IP cap. (roto)

How many White Castle can you eat in a sitting?
Brad Johnson
1:32
Current count is 0

You think Jake McCarthy hits above 275 and steals 25 plus bags?
Brad Johnson
1:32
I'll take the under
I'd say like a 35% chance he hits the overs
Savages

With the number 8 pick in a 10 team H2H league, who would you target with 8 and 12th picks. Assume soto will already be off the board.
Brad Johnson
1:33
I'll give you an answer, but I just want to first stress that your early picks don't really matter so long as you're not going WAY off script
All they do is affect your mid- and late-strategy
But one early player is generally as good as the next in terms of expected output.
