I wouldn't be surprised if the Astros trade them a OF in the Chas McCormick tier for a 2B like Berti.

Who is the better bet for saves this year, Munoz or Duran?
Brad Johnson
1:17
Munoz by a hair imo. It's very close. Munoz also happens to be a marginally better pitcher.
1:18
Expect about 11 saves for either of them.
Just wondering
1:18
What do you expect out of Oswaldo Cabrera for the season?
Brad Johnson
1:18
Honestly, a lot less than most people.
1:19
I see him as just a guy. I know he's kinda riding the prospect coattails of Volpe and Peraza.
1:20
He looks like the kind of utility man/backup a contender wouldn't mind starting in a pinch. But not an ideal Opening Day option.
Granted, I do think the Yankees are better off using him than Aaron Hicks again.
1:21
We'll see which of Ortega or Calhoun win a job and where they'll slot into the outfield rotation.

Which version of Brandon Drury do you think shows up for the Angels? The Reds player who had an .855 OPS or the Padres player with the .724 OPS? Somewhere in between?
Brad Johnson
1:23
I mean look at his career. The Padres version is right in line with who he's always been. Even down to the deeper peripherals.
1:24
Let's say he made some meaningful adjustments heading into last season. The Reds were one of those teams opposing scouts paid less attention to. So Drury had more time to take advantage of his new "trick."
1:25
The Padres were more heavily scouted so it makes sense opponents would have picked up on fresh weaknesses.
In any case, I'm leaving Drury for others.

Is Matt Moore gonna be the set up man?
Brad Johnson
1:27
Your guess is as good as mine. I know they're praying Carlos Estevez is good. Beyond that, it's a sketchy group.
Moore's coming off a nice year, and his velo was up to 94 mph for the first time since 2012.
His 1.95 ERA looks a lot better than his 3.87 xFIP or 3.69 SIERA.
Odds are he's a 4.00 ERA southpaw.

Which of these AL back end starters you like more for this year? Clevinger, Civale, German, Flexen/Gonzalez, Crawford or Olber? Thanks
Brad Johnson
1:29
I like Civale as a pitchability guy. Ober's velocity is reportedly up a hair, though that might be a short-burst spring training thing.

With Bryan Reynolds still on Pittsburgh's roster as we approach the season, does that lower your evaluation of him (as opposed to if he had been traded to, say, the Yankees)? How much should a potential mid-season trade impact how much to invest in him?
Brad Johnson
1:29
Outside of Only leagues, I don't think trade considerations should much enter your calculus.
1:31
He could be traded to bat 3rd between Judge and Stanton or we might find him batting 8th for the Padres. The various scenarios mostly balance out. And if he's not traded, it's probably because the Pirates are playing well, in which case, he's probably a big part of that.
(or it might be because he's injured, which, well, is part of our game too)

Do you think Bryson Stott will improve enough in year 2, in an everyday role, and in that lineup, to be fantasy relevant? With the lack of depth at 2B/SS, seems like he might be someone to take a cheap flier on
Brad Johnson
1:32
I like him as a bench guy with upside. I tend to believe he's more than a year from learning how to get more leverage out of his swing.
1:33
I saw a lot of Stott last year. He put his barrel on a lot of fly balls that the right fielder backpedaled 10 feet and caught.
Can't tell you how many times I watched Bryce Harper hit something 500 feet then see Stott make what looked like the same contact for 300 feet.

Do you think Yoshinobu Yamamoto comes the majors after this season? if so, what are your thoughts on him?
Brad Johnson
1:35
As far as I'm aware, Yamamoto is expected to be posted.
1:36
In terms of expectations, this is outside of my wheelhouse. I know the hype is huge, but I think we have enough history of NPB pitchers coming to America to know the end result could vary wildly.
1:37
Domestic pitchers are fickle. So are international pitchers.
He's a fun dynasty asset.

Nico Hoerner for Austin Hays. H2H category league. I need a LF but not gonna overpay
Brad Johnson
1:38
That's fine. I like Hoerner a shade more, but I wouldn't hold up a deal over it if you're filling a need with a surplus.

I have a draft later this week that allows us to draft guys that havent been drafted into the MLB yet. its a 20 team dynasty league with 25 minor league spots. Any undrafted guys worth taking later on?
Brad Johnson
1:39
I have a similar 20-teamer (our slots are differentiated between majors/minors).
I kept Brayden Taylor. He should go top 10 in the draft. We picked up Yohandy Morales and Colin Houck who we think will be in the 10-20 range.
