Houck is just starting to catch public notice so likely best-fits your ask. I imagine Taylor is already kept.
Morales has been on the radar forever so there might be some fatigue there.
1:41
He's rostered, but we also took Felnin Celestin. We believe he's the only IFA teenager worth rostering. Jung-Hoo Lee is a good target too, not too late though.
1:42
Celestin is in the latest Mariners IFA treasure.
Dodgers Saves?
1:42
Hi Brad.  How do you see the Dodgers' bullpen shaking out in terms of who gets the saves?  We have a 12-team, NL-only standard format league. Thanks.
Brad Johnson
1:44
I don't have a fun take here. For now, Phillips is their top fireman and should nab the most saves with the likes of Vesia, Graterol, and Ferguson also mixing in. It almost feels like the Dodgers intentionally took it easy this winter to give Friedman and Co. a challenge to solve.
Don't count out a surprise

I probably made a mistake, and it's too late now, but would you have kept Bryan Reynolds or Nate Lowe as your last keeper?  H2H with OBP, SLG, RBI, Runs, SB and singles instead of homers.  Weird, I know.  (I kept Reynolds)
Brad Johnson
1:45
I'd probably have kept Reynolds. Hard to say with that goofy scoring.
Let's see something...
1:46
Yea, Reynolds is roughly 2X Lowe
1:47
per ATC projections.

thank you sir!!!

In a 5x5, $260 league with 11 teams, should I freeze Bo Bichette at $37? I realize he might be a tad overpriced at that, but if I freeze him this year at $37, I'd get him on toppers the next year. Althernatively, I could dump Bichette and freeze Sonny Gray at $10. Thanks
Brad Johnson
1:48
I'd do Bichette. I don't think he's overpriced once you account for inflation.
Probably goes for $39-$41 in-auction
Gray is SP 60-ish.
1:49
11 teams, 7 SP per team, that's basically rep level.
Not even worth the $10.

Who do you like better for my last 5x5, $260 league keeper: Amed Rosario on toppers, Manuel Margot at $6, or Bubba Thompson at $10 ? I realize everyone hates Bubba, but it's sure looking like he'll be starting for the first month, and after that…who knows?
Brad Johnson
1:50
I tried to google fantasy toppers and got a bunch of images of plastic footballs on cakes. And one dragon.
1:51
In any case, I don't know what you mean by toppers. I do know Rosario is a lot better than Margot and Thompson. I have a suspicion "none of those" is the best answer.
1:52
We're winding down, 3 more in queue.
In the dirt
1:52
Who do you see as saves leaders in these bullpens: Angels, Mariners, Tigers, Rangers & TB? Gracias!
Brad Johnson
1:53
Best guesses: Estevez, Sewald, Lange, Leclerc, Adam.
1:54
Your theme didn't escape me, and I agree, those are going to be volatile bullpens.
1:55
I know a lot of people are betting on Fairbanks in TB fwiw.
1:56
Here's a fun caveat. I suggested those 5 as the best chances for most saves. I'd guess (and I do mean 'guess') there's about a 40% chance that NONE of those 5 actually leads their team in saves.

1:57
Any chance the Marlins will contend this year?
Brad Johnson
1:57
Certainly a chance! With expanded playoffs, everyone except the A's and Nats have live odds.
1:58
In terms of weaker clubs, I'd bet on the Pirates or Royals before the Marlins.
Toppers
1:58
Toppers allows you to freeze a player on your roster, but gives you the right to bid $1 more than the last auction bid—or release your rights to that player
Brad Johnson
1:59
Well there ya go.
That come from football? I don't football.
Going back to the question of Rosario on toppers, that then depends on the cost.

Sadly, I had to throw back Edwin Diaz in my 8-team, NL-only keeper league.  Devin Williams, David Bednar, and Camilo Doval were kept.  Who do you see as the remaining NL closer options most likely to keep their jobs all season?  (We actually count SV+HD, but SV seem more reliable.)
Brad Johnson
2:00
Targeting saves is best, but the SV+Hd gives you flexibility to go after guys like Seranthony.
Gimme a sec and I'll drum up a list.
2:02
Helsley is tops. Iglesias, Hader, Phillips, Gallegos, Minter, Taylor Rogers, Alexis Diaz, Seranthony, Vesia all project highly
In 8-team, I kinda imagine some of those might go unpicked or very late. Minter and Rogers in particular.
