Hey folks, I'm here arguing with a co-manager about how to value Chase Meidroth so let's kick this off a few minutes early.

Is Reid Detmers worth holding?  Time to cut bait on Lance Lynn?
Brad Johnson
12:57
As is often the case, I think the answer is situational for both guys. Detmers is one of the better SP for bulk Ks. He seems like he could turn a corner and get that BABIP under control.
12:58
He's a fly ball guy and they usually have low BABIPs and too many HR, not too many hits and normal-to-low HR totals.
Long story short, I think the ROS looks roughly similar fantasy numbers-wise, but the way he gets there will be very different.
1:00
As for Lynn, I'm still trying (and happily failing) to buy him in my deeper leagues.
He might be my second-most targeted underperformer after Alcantara.
1:01
Not saying he'll definitely rebound, but it's one of the better bets out there imo

Hi Brad; How do you see the Orioles handling their rich pool of prospect talent, particularly the infielders. Who gets called up? Who gets traded? Who stagnates? Thanks
Brad Johnson
1:02
I think they aren't looking at it granularly. They've built depth throughout the roster and will take advantage of whichever opportunities best fit their needs. I do see Connor Norby as an odd-man out. That's just my take.
Most of the others can play all over the field, Norby's quite limited defensively.

Looking ahead. If the Royals move both Chapman and Barlow at the trade deadline, who should we be looking to stockpile now for future saves on KC?
Brad Johnson
1:03
Staumont probably? I wouldn't speculate on that bullpen personally.
1:04
I'd rather take a flier on Joe Kelly, Seranthony Dominguez, or Scott McGough.
I assume he's not there, but Andres Munoz is a priority add if available.

Should I be selling high on Castellanos and/or Yelich?
Brad Johnson
1:06
It always depends on what that actually means. They're both playing almost exactly as projected.
1:07
If you're converting them into stats you need more than theirs, good! Do it. It's all about standings management.

Has Blake Snell turned the corner?
Brad Johnson
1:07
I believe so, pending the outcome of this ankle swelling. He's so prone to hot/cold streaks that I worry about every little bump and bruise with him.

I have a few options for the last two OF spots in a H2H league: Kwan, Yelich, Soler, JLowe.... who would you recommend starting?
Brad Johnson
1:08
That's a nice collection. If it's daily, you should play matchups. If it's weekly, I'd decide if I'm chasing SBs (Yelich/Lowe), HR/RBI (Soler/Lowe), or AVG/R (Kwan/Yelich)

The free agent pool is bare. Do I pick up Oswaldo Cabrera or Santiago Espinal?
Brad Johnson
1:10
Ah...
1:11
Espinal is playing more right now and has a higher floor. Cabrera has better upside if you need to catch a hail mary. Neither of them have good upside.

When Nester Cortès returns—and he will return, won't he?—should I drop Dean Kremer or Kutter Crawford? Thanks.
Brad Johnson
1:12
I don't think you'll need to worry about that very soon. Rotator cuff strains usually aren't quick healing. His pitching style exacerbates things too. Can reevaluate when the time comes, but I probably prefer Kremer and Crawford to him as of today.

Hey Brad,  Thanks for doing this.  In an AL-only, 5x5 keeper league, giving up Bryan Bello (SP-Bos) and Jake Bauers (OF/1B - NYY) and getting back Hunter Renfroe (OF - LAA).  Good trade?
Brad Johnson
1:14
I assume you need an infusion of HR.
If this is about reallocating categories, it's perfectly fine.
If it's about the value of the players involved, my favorite in the deal is Bello.
1:15
Bauers is nothing. I almost want a rival rostering him. So I wouldn't fight to make it a 1-for-1 or anything.

Tim Anderson and Carlos Correa are both on the waiver wire.  Which one is the better stash?
Brad Johnson
1:16
Theme of the day (most days): It depends!
Correa produces in HR and RBI
Anderson is skewed to R/SBs
What do you need?
Dr Dave
1:16
Brandon Lowe and his herniated disc after missing time last year for a back problem.  Is it time to cut him loose and pursue another option in an AL-only league?
Brad Johnson
1:17
Probably not in AL-only. It's doable in 12-team mixed though.

How much does Matthew Liberatore's future value ride on his start tonight vs SF? Should I drop him if he just doesn't show any improvement over his last couple starts?
