What is going on with Muncy? he is in a terrible funk and doesn't seem to be hitting his way out if it.  Is there a possible injury there?
Brad Johnson
2:03
I think we're looking at what age does to an extreme profile.
He's among the league leaders in launch angle, barrel rate, hard hit rate, walks, and Ks.
And HR
2:04
Everything is hard hit in the air. He's going to hit 40 or 50 HR pace, walk a bunch, and everything else is an auto-out.
Power is volatile so he'll have his five HR weeks and his 3-for-45 spans.
Rank the following five players in dynasty leagu
2:04
Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Vaughn Grissom, Jordan Lawlar, Diego Cartaya and Jung Hoo Lee
Brad Johnson
2:06
Well... I know I like Lawlar most. The others aren't players I'm actively attempting to acquire. I'm not inclined to rank guys who are so dissimilar.
2:07
Probably Grissom second and Cartaya last. Catchers typically take so long to offer fantasy production. A few exceptions notwithstanding.
Cartaya is an "exceptions" kind of guy imo.

Am I foolish for using an IL slot on Nick Lodolo?
Brad Johnson
2:08
Nope. If you have the slot, use it.
He's a good pitcher
Alrighty folks, the end is in sight. A few more...

SV+HD 5x5, which 2 of 4 to start this week: J. Alvarado, R. Helsley, A. Chafin, K. Finnegan
Brad Johnson
2:09
Without checking their schedules, I'd do Helsley and Alvarado. Schedules obviously matter a lot.
I'm an advocate of quality over role

Which Rafael Ramirez do you recommend?
Brad Johnson
2:10
Fair question, that is the Guardians shortstop
Twinset
2:10
AL Only, OBP - Is Larnach or Willi Castro going to stay (slightly) relevant when Gallo returns?
Brad Johnson
2:11
They'll probably continue to squeeze into the lineup
The Twins have an obnoxious roster construction which is forcing them to cache their fourth/fifth best hitter (Julien) in the minors for most of the year.
Obnoxious from a fantasy perspective.
2:12
Kind of neat irl. So many different role guys. It's the way the Brewers and Rays play.

Looking toward 2024, are Shane Baz and Jeffrey Springs 1-2 for TAM?
Brad Johnson
2:13
McClanahan?
Glasnow's also under contract if I'm not mistaken
2:14
Eflin's probably same asset class as Springs
Baz has a wide range of plausible outcomes - not unlike Taj.
No, I guess is what I'm saying.

In a 16-team H2H league 6x6 (having OBP & SLG instead of AVG, adding Ls for pitchers), I have Wander and Bichette at SS (playing Bichette at UT).  My staff is kind of borderline (F Peralta, Eflin, Luzardo, Giolito, Bradish, Whitlock, Detmers with Lodolo and McCullers on IL).  Am I better off cashing in Bichette for an ace, or stand pat?
Brad Johnson
2:15
L-leagues are so facepalm. Let's make team context even more important...
Anyways
It's H2H, so it's all about maxing your priority categories.
2:16
To me, I see that as a solid volume staff for 16-team.
So you're chasing Ws/Ks, taking the L in L, and hoping ERA or WHIP break your way. Adding an ace does little to help that. I'd need a transformational trade to deal Bichette.
2:18
I think your best path is to nail down 5-6 hitting stats a week. You might even consider selling SPs for offensive upgrades and top RP. Nail down ERA/WHIP and avoid L while winning the 6 offensive categories more often.

NL only 11 teamer...is Berti worth keeping for the SBs, he has slowed down on those and PT seems to be down.  WW is ...Hilliard, Longoria, Ahmed, Peralta, Pham, Montes, Profar, etc.
