Crews is right on the expected pace imo. I don't have a full read on Salas yet. I think the ETA on him is/was somewhere in his age 19 season (this is his age 17 season).
My guess with Salas is the Padres want him working with specific personnel and/or equipment.
Which Side?
1:36
Teoscar/Bello or Velazquez(KC)/Verlander? (OBP league)
Brad Johnson
1:37
I think I lean the way of Bello. However, it's all a matter of the stats you're targeting.
1:38
Seems fair to me
Saves
1:38
Finnegan over Hader or Estevez for saves? Angels and padres are dumpster fire
Brad Johnson
1:38
Maybe Estevez. Maybe. Probably not.

What is your top 5 fantasy prospect ranking?
Brad Johnson
1:39
Soooo, this looks very different for redraft vs. shallow dynasty vs. deep dynasty
1:40
For 2023, the list looks something like Junior Caminero, Noelvi Marte, Heston Kjerstad, Coby Mayo, and Curtis Mead.
1:41
For shallow dynasty: Jackson Holliday, Paul Skenes, Dylan Crews, Junior Caminero, Jackson Chourio.
For deep dynasty: Holliday, Crews, Chourio, Lawlar, Salas

Looking for waiver SP that will supply IP but not blowup WHIP and ERA. Any suggestions on a sleeper that wouldn't be yet rostered?
Brad Johnson
1:42
Zack Littel is pretty solid. But if 2023 has taught me anything, all pitchers come with serious meltdown risk.
Oddball Herrera
1:42
Woah - Caminero? I assumed with how the Rays operate we would be lucky to see him in 2024. Not nit picking just curious if you have info that he is close
Brad Johnson
1:43
I suppose it's a bit of an informed guess for how they handle a certain situation

Do any of those guys u just mentioned get called up soon in your opinion??
Brad Johnson
1:44
The five in the first list are up or have live odds to be called soon.

Do we see Dylan Crews in September
Brad Johnson
1:44
I do not
Unless that was part of the handshake when they drafted him, there's no incentive for them to do so.
Troutmask Replica
1:44
Trout might be coming back! What does he bring? Him or Teoscar (OBP league)?
Brad Johnson
1:45
hamate injuries typically return with slightly reduced power, and slightly reduced bat control. Trout has power to spare so I'd expect what we were seeing earlier this year (which was a tad unlucky imo)

I've been losing 2Bs all season but I'm pretty close (5th place, top 6 go to play-offs)--Carroll, Gunnar, Judge, Schwarber, Springer, Abrams, Murphy, Olson.  Anyone on most waiver wires you think can help?
Brad Johnson
1:46
Cronenworth out there? He's turned it around lately.
Otherwise, I'd be guessing blind. No idea where your waiver wire starts

Is the Astro's 6-man rotation likely to last the rest of the season? After this week, when they play 7 games, they have every  remaining Thursday off. With a 6-man rotation, each pitcher will have a fixed day the pitch. Sort of weird.
Brad Johnson
1:47
I have no insight into this. There are advantages to keeping your pitchers fresher if it's not going to cost them the division.
1:48
So, we'll see if they can make up ground on the Rangers in the coming weeks.
Noelvi Marte
1:48
Realistic expectations for him ROS?
Brad Johnson
1:48
Pretty tame
Like .265/.335/.420, 3 HR, 5-10 SB in 100 PA
Noelvi Marte
1:49
Does he get sent down once India returns?
Brad Johnson
1:50
Not necessarily. They're fighting for their lives. India might be out for the season too.
Who’s better?
1:50
Mead or Aranda?
Brad Johnson
1:50
Aranda's bat is more actualized, Mead's the better long-term prospect.

All of a sudden, I'm getting time at LF and RF... does that mean I'm a likely September call-up?
Brad Johnson
1:50
Yes, he's coming
1:51
I should have mentioned him on the first Top 5 prospects list above
Trade idea
1:51
Jazz for Steer—fair?
