Yes, with one notable backdoor. If a player is placed on the IL, it opens a spot on the playoff roster so long as the player was already in the org before September.
I believe it has to be the 60-day IL unless that's been changed more recently.
There's been so many rule changes lately that I've missed a few.

Hoping to find a hot hitting 3B to help me thru the playoffs. Ke’Bryan Hayes or Jordan Walker?
Brad Johnson
1:23
Hayes might be in the midst of a real breakout
1:24
I'd ride that wave until it breaks.
(and am)

Skenes? Seriously (I'm not being snarky)? What would the Pirates stand to gain by calling him up?
Brad Johnson
1:24
There's a mental side to all of this.
Skenes was drafted as a MLB-caliber pitcher. If the Pirates were contending, he'd be pitching for them right now.
1:25
Probably as a reliever to "save his arm."
1:26
But in any case, there's no purpose to him spending time in the minors. A cup of coffee let's him get his feet wet and end the season on a positive developmental note.
John Means
1:26
Is there any downside to adding me? What’s the ceiling?
Brad Johnson
1:27
Yes, Means has a history of performing poorly when he isn't sharp.
It's a high risk, medium reward proposition.
1:28
That said, it's not a bad gamble if you need a jolt. He's likelier to help than Jesse Scholtens for instance.
Guards Prospects
1:28
I can keep only one of Gavin Williams or Tanner Bibee. Which one?
Brad Johnson
1:29
I'd keep Williams. I do like Bibee, but Williams is more ace-like in design.
SP Question
1:29
Who do you think could be a better fantasy contributor down the stretch and why, John Means or Walker Buehler?
Brad Johnson
1:29
Means for the simple fact Buehler isn't going to start or close.
1:30
brb
1:32
I'm also wary of Buehler in general. Means' schtick is changeups and command. He'll probably get those back eventually. Buehler is a power pitcher who at last look wasn't working in power velocities anymore.
Mauricio
1:32
It is quite probable that Ronny Mauricio will hit .660 with several homers and many RBIs ane SBs in this last month and be crowned Rookie of the Year. My question is, he still would be eligible, so could he win Rookie of the Year mext year too?
Brad Johnson
1:32
Uh, yes, he'll be rookie eligible next year.
Gelof or Schneider ROS
1:32
Who do you like?
Brad Johnson
1:33
I prefer Schneider right now. Reevaluate every couple days.
My Dog eats Cake

Steven Kwan was recently dropped in my 12 teamer, is he worth an add   thru the playoffs if it means dropping Masataka Yoshida?
Brad Johnson
1:33
Same asset class
1:34
Kwan's a little more optimized for speed, and his lineup role is better for R. Yoshida's a better play for power and RBI. They're similar in AVG. Kwan for OBP.

Ke'Bryan Hayes or Royce Lewis for the stretch run as well as long term in a H2H points full keeper league?
Brad Johnson
1:34
I'm going Hayes, though I don't think there's a wrong answer to this one. Love Royce too.
Royce is noice.
Jaxon
1:35
Colton Cowser, can he be a dynasty keeper/starter for next season? Thanks
Brad Johnson
1:35
For sure hang onto him in dynasty. Shallower keeper formats might let him slip away.
There's still risk he's a strong side platoon bat.
Ohtani
1:35
In a playoff run, should there be concern about whether or not he’ll play out the season? Any advice on emergency plans if he shuts it down
Brad Johnson
1:36
I'm guessing trades are closed so the best you can do is patch from the wire. Remember that H2H generally rewards teams that target specific categories.
1:37
Ohtani does everything, but you'll probably have to replace him with a one trick pony like Duvall.
Eric
1:37
Is Jordan Walker worth keeping in a 3-keeper only H2H league? I already have JRam and Robert Jr and it is coming down to Walker or Lindor.
Brad Johnson
1:37
That's a decision you should reevaluate in a few months.
