Brad Johnson
12:58
He has a bone bruise on his surgically repaired knee.
12:59
They tried to scrape a start out of him yesterday because they needed their only backup SP for a doubleheader a few days earlier.
Didn't work out
Ray Krebbs

Does Tanner Scott keep the closer job?
Brad Johnson
1:00
He would be on my shortlist of likeliest to lose the job. Which isn't exactly a guarantee.
I'd bet against him though.
1:01
Marlins have a bit of a weird bullpen - bunch of guys who are competent but not truly closers. And the one guy who does look like a closer (Bender) keeps finding ways to choke.

Do you see Hall getting the call soon? Could he have early success?
Brad Johnson
1:01
I do, and I think he can be successful. Probably not in a way that has much appeal in fantasy leagues.

Better keeper prospect- Abrams or O'Neill Cruz?
Brad Johnson
1:01
Cruz imo

1:02
Michael Harris the real deal?
Brad Johnson
1:02
Yes!
WildWillis
1:02
Drop Ozuna for Harris?
Brad Johnson
1:02
I dunno about that though... I wouldn't.
h/o I have a couple blurbs on Harris this week.
1:05
Having trouble finding the article for some reason. In any case, I like him!
Jeremy Wendell

Every time I think Daulton Varsho is about ready to take a step forward as an Allstar-level player, he goes in the tank for two or three weeks. Is this what he is, or do you like him to take that next step?
Brad Johnson
1:06
I think both things can be true. As a catcher, he's a fantasy All-Star at the very least. Hitters of his profile (well-hit fly balls) are prone to streakiness.

Is Kris Bryant a buy low?
Brad Johnson
1:06
Certainly. Not without risk so make sure it IS low.
Steven
1:06
who do you prefer ROS: Knebel, Hand or Dominguez?
Brad Johnson
1:06
Dominguez
Cody

Is Whit Merrifield a drop candidate in a dynasty?
Brad Johnson
1:07
Drop seems extreme. He's having a rough season without any notable change in his peripherals. He looks like the same guy to me.
This does happen to guys as they age. Matt Carpenter, Joey Votto, and Tommy Pham come to mind.
1:08
Their underlying metrics read as normal or close enough, but their actual output wanders between normal and completely tanked.
Too soon to know if Merrifield is on this same track or just having an unlucky half-season.

When does Carlos Santana go, so the P brothers can play???
Brad Johnson
1:08
Sigh. I don't know.
2 months ago, shouldabeen.

Is Ozuna going to be DFAd?
Brad Johnson
1:09
I very much doubt it. He's torching the ball.
He'll be fine.
1:10
We'll blink and he'll suddenly be batting .245/.320/.480
Sammy Sooser AND Mike McGwire
1:10
How sold are you on Tyler Anderson repeating 1H into 2H?
Brad Johnson
1:10
35% sold? I'm sold he'll be at least fantasy rep level for 12-team mixed.
1:11
i.e. you should be able to use him to chase wins even if they other categories are bland.
Robocop
1:11
Are we more excited by CJ Abrams most recent callup than we were his first? He’s really been smoking AAA pitching these past few weeks
Brad Johnson
1:11
Yes, definitely happier to see him come up with a Triple-A pedigree
