I think he's been ready for a while, hopefully should see it soon
for exampe, after Verlander's most recent "mystery" injury
considering how tight-lipped they're being, I don't think it bodes well

He'd be a reasonable (and cheap) backend starter/depth for most contender(y) teams but I don't think the Pirates will get anything back better than a mid(ish)-level prospect
