Hey all! Thanks for coming in. Fire your questions away!
Ben

Do I keep all of these players or just some? Tatis, Story, Arenado, Maeda, Castillo, Judge, Vladdy.
Carmen Maiorano
7:19
It depends on context. But I am definitely keeping Tatis, Story, and Castillo regardless of context. Most likely keeping Arenado and Maeda. I'm not a big Judge guy. Who are your other potential keepers?
Fredo
7:19
Keep forever league. H2H categories (standard except SVs+Holds). I need to trim the list down to 9 keepers.

I am planning to keep:

Bellinger
Bregman
Yelich
Abreu
Wander Franco
Ryu
Gray
Wheeler

Deciding between Thor, Clevinger, or Muncy as my ninth. What says you?
Carmen Maiorano
7:19
Assuming you're trying to win now, I would obviously go with Muncy, unless he doesn't qualify at 2B in your league for whatever reason. But, if you really need the pitching, I would take Clev.

7:19
What late-round pitchers are you targeting the most?
Carmen Maiorano
7:19
I love John Means, I like the increase in velo and the fact that the O's will rely on him as an ace. I also like Yarbrough, Minor, Davies, Javier, and JA Happ

What is your general strategy in the early rounds of snake redraft leagues? 12-team would be great, but general advice is fine.
Carmen Maiorano
7:19
I'll take the last of the 'big 3' SPs if one falls to me if I'm drafting at the end. Otherwise, I'm going hitter. I'll take my first SP in the second round, and that is usually Giolito/Kershaw/Buehler/Bauer. After that, it's all about roster construction. If I picked in the top 5 and nabbed a Tatis/Acuna/Betts/Turner/Soto, I'll double-tap Gallen and Maeda and then focus on hitting for a bit.

H2H, 12 team, #6 pick.  Degrom, Trout, Cole or Turner?  Thanks!
Carmen Maiorano

Turner for me.

Hey question about Trevor Story. Do I trade him in my 13 team NL only league or do I keep him till if the Rockies have reached an extension? Also I have questions about Nick Senzel and Kyle Wright
Carmen Maiorano
7:19
I love Story's skills, and I think the stolen bases travel anywhere. That said, his average is likely to fall a bit if he is traded. It depends on the return you would get. You'd need a first round equivalent for sure. The Reds manager said he would like Senzel to be the everyday CF, so I like him this year. Kyle Wright should see around 20 starts with a middling ERA. I'm only targeting him in very deep leagues.

Hi, I have 1 & 3 overall pick in my draft. Players that are available in this keeper league are Betts, Trout, DeGrom, Turner, Freeman, Harper, Yelich
not today
7:19
hi, 15 team ROTO,ops & QS league, keep 6 forever, and 2 NA spots. I have to choose between
1.Harper or W.Franco
2.Ian Anderson or M.Gore
plz help.Thanks in advance.
Carmen Maiorano
7:19
This is a really tough call. I typically bet on the talent that we've already seen, rather than project a young prospect. If you're trying to win now, I'm keeping Harper and Anderson. If you're trying to win later, Franco and Anderson.

I'm in a Yahoo Dynasty league with 18 teams.  We are allowed to keep between 14-16 players, with anything over 14 costing you one draft pick.  In other words if I decide to keep 18, I can't draft until round 5.  My question is, would you keep the following players:  Michael Pineda, Hector Neris, Jack Diekman, Tanner Houck, Mitch Keller, Adam Duvall, Andres Gimenez, Luis Campusano, and Anthony Santander?  Thanks a lot.
Carmen Maiorano
7:20
18 teams is deep! I like Santander, Houck, Keller, and Gimenez in that deep of a league long-term. You can always find relievers on waivers, and Neris/Diekman likely aren't getting saves. If your pitching is weak, I'd keep Pineda as well.

Who are some of the hitters in the later rounds of redrafts you find yourself rostering?
Carmen Maiorano
7:20
I love Adam Eaton this year. Hitting 2nd in that Sox lineup most likely. Santander, Kole Calhoun other OF's. I love late-round 2B like Wong, Hernandez, even Adam Frazier in very deep leagues. If Willi Castro gets everyday AB's (he should), I love his power/average upside.

Which 3rd tier pitcher has the best chance to become a first tier pitcher in 2021? Sixto Sanchez maybe ?
Carmen Maiorano
7:20
Good question. If German Marquez ever gets traded, that's the answer. Other guys could include Framber Valdez, Ian Anderson, Julio Urias.

7-team home league, 6x5 (classic roto + OPS). I pick 6th and 13th, whats the best duo in your opinion? ( Freeman wont be available at 13😉)
Carmen Maiorano
7:21
With OPS being a factor, Trout moves way up the board, and you could probably get him at 6. After that,  I'm targeting Giolito/Kershaw if one of the big 3 doesn't fall. If you don't want to take the second tier of pitching that early, I'll grab Yelich if he's there and then double-tap Gallen and Maeda to get my starts.

What starting  pitcher elevates himself from tier 2,3 or 4 into 1 this season ? Sixto Sanchez maybe ?
Carmen Maiorano

I believe this was answered above. Thanks for your question!

Would you keep Tanner Houck and Luis Campusano in a Dynasty League?
Carmen Maiorano
7:22
Depends on if you're trying to win now or later and how deep your league is. If you're trying to win later, absolutely, If you're trying to win now, I like to trade young pitching prospects for proven guys, especially in a year where innings will be at a premium.

In a 12 team H2H categories league with OBP and QS instead of AVG and W. I need to decide which 3 to keep between Castellanos for an 18th, V. Robles for a 22nd, Ryu for 16th, and Yates for 15th. Already keeping 5th round Story, and 20th rounds Hiura and K. Tucker.
Carmen Maiorano
7:25
Definitely agree on your keeper choices. I'd go with Catellanos, Robles for the upside, and Ryu. Closers are so volatile, not worried about keeping Yates.
James
7:26
trade Cole for Story in H2H keeper. Also have DeGrom
Carmen Maiorano
7:26
Story's the only guy in the first round I'd be concerned about in a keeper league. While Story's SB's travel, his average may not. I would keep Cole in that scenario, maybe look to trade him for another first rounder.

Thinking of grabbing Freeman 6th overall in a 7 team home league 6x5 (Roto plus OPS). Is this a bad idea??
Carmen Maiorano
7:27
In OPS, I'm taking Trout/Soto/Freeman, in that order. So if he's the last one, it's a good idea!

Good evening.. this year do you feel pitching will have more injuries then any other year..due to the shorten season of 2020
Carmen Maiorano
7:28
Good evening! Yes, pitching injuries are continually increasing, and massive inning jumps by most pitchers will yield more injuries.

I’m in a roto league where Holds are a points category. That being the case how soon/what round should I target the likes of Devin Williams or James Karinchak?
Carmen Maiorano
7:31
Points leagues in general devalue relievers, so it's hard to give you an exact range. I wouldn't go crazy trying to get either of them. There will be tons of relievers to pick up off waivers who are getting holds. See guys like Scott Barlow, Trevor May, and Tyler Duffey from last year.
