In a 12 team yahoo pts kpr league where SBs are 3pts and everything else normal...keep Swanson at an 18th round cost or K. Marte at a 25th round cost?
Carmen Maiorano

I'm projecting Marte to outscore Swanson by about 70 points in a standard CBS points league. I know you're Yahoo, but the scoring system should be similar. Swanson will get a couple more bags, but I like Marte's all-around game better.

How big a gap do u see between Starling Marte and Austin Meadows this year, and then going forward? Asking dynasty league context for a team in contention weak in steals.

I've got Marte down for 24 SBs this year, Meadows for 12. Marte's about 20 spots ahead of Meadows in my hitter rankings. I like Meadows more long term (younger), but if you're trying to win now, I wouldn't take that risk. I prefer Marte.

After the 3 top pitchers are gone who would you say is safest most reliable pitcher option next in a points league
Carmen Maiorano

I love Giolito/Bauer/Nola (all in that order), followed by Kershaw/Castillo/Gallen/Maeda/Darvish. All guys who should pitch a ton, getting you a lot of points in the process.

Do you expect Adam Duvall to make much of a difference in Miami?

I've got him for 450 PA's with 26 bombs. He'll probably platoon. Just outside my top-200 for hitters. Hopefully that help gives you context.

16 team H2H points league.  Will try and simplify this.  Made some draft pick trades and I can keep the following players and they move up 1 round each year.  I have the following picks available (rounds) 8,8,7,6,5,5,4,4.  Available any in round 4-8...Bieber, Tatis Jr, Vladdy Jr, Yordan Alvarez, Hiura.  Available in any round 4-7...Soto, Acuna, available in any round 4-5 Yelich.
Thinking Tatis and Vladdy 8, Acuna 7, Soto 6, Bieber 5, Alvarez 5, Yelich 5, Hiura 4.  These decisions have been killing me as I look long term on each guy.  Thanks

I'm a bit confused by your question, but overall I'm getting Soto/Acuna/Bieber/Tatis at all costs. That's a title-winning team for however many years you can keep them.

Good to know, thanks!

Should I keep Tommy La Stella and Nate Lowe in my Dynasty League? Last question and thanks.
Carmen Maiorano

Feel free to give me more context. In a vacuum, I'm not keeping TLS (he's 32). I'd most likely keep Lowe.

18 team dynasty league. I can keep between 14-18 players.  I have both La Stella and Nate Lowe and I'm right at the cusp of 18 keepers right now
Carmen Maiorano
7:47
Ah, the 18-teamer brought up before. I would keep Lowe and only keep TLS if you need to fill a CI/MI spot and need safe PA's

Thanks for your very appreciated advice

It’s a good strategy to draft more pitchers than batters
Carmen Maiorano
7:50
I tend to have 1-2 more pitchers on my bench than hitters, pending positional eligibility of my reserves.

Would it be crazy in a shallow H2H pts league where pitching is at a premium, steals are basically irrelevant, and there's always a glut of solid hitters on the waiver wire to go 4 for 4 with starting pitchers to start the draft. Also a major consideration is i have Soto, Tatis and Sixto as my late round keepers.
Carmen Maiorano
7:59
If those are keepers, it's not crazy at all. That's a great position to be in!
