Hey all! It's a beautiful day made better by afternoon baseball. I'll be hanging out here for a next hour to answer your fantasy baseball questions. Let's get to it!
Matt

In a dynasty league, who is the better long term hold assuming the same cost: Trevor Rogers or Freddy Peralta?
Andrew Gould
2:02
Peralta probably has a higher ceiling, so I'd slightly lean him despite the risk of moving back to the bullpen (where he honestly is probably a better fit)
Mark
2:02
What level shortstop would you give up for Tatis right now?
Andrew Gould
2:04
The hope to come back in 10 days sounds a bit too optimistic. I feel that Tatis' manager may now only be willing to sell for 90 cents on the dollar, but I'd be hesitant to pay that much still. I might be willing to roll the dice and trade a Gleyber/Baez/Correa quality of SS, but not a second-tier stud like Bogaerts or Seager.

Is Alcantara an ace?
Andrew Gould
2:06
Strikeouts were the final piece to the puzzle. So far, so good.  At the risk of being a prisoner of the moment, he sure looks like an ace right now. He's also one of the better bets to work 180+ innings.

How long can Naquin keep this up?
Andrew Gould
2:08
Oh boy, he's already homered again today. I haven't dived too deep into his start yet. I'm intrigued, but not sold that it's anything more than a hot streak. But ride the hot hand as long as he's leading off.

Is Nate Lowe for real in Texas?
Andrew Gould
2:08
Real-ish. I don't see him as a league-winner, but he's definitely a useful contributor who can offer around 25 HRs with a healthy RBI tally in the heart of Texas' lineup.
Josh D

Buying or selling on Donovan Solano?
Andrew Gould
2:10
The Giants have faced a lot of lefties early. I want to see if he stays in the lineup and high in the order all the time, or just against lefties. He seems to hit whenever the Giants play him, though.
Andre
2:10
who do we think is up first? Franco or Kelenic?
Andrew Gould
2:11
Kelenic. The Mariners already seemed to give up the service-time manipulation game.
Rob M

11 team roto 6x6 (standard hitting categories plus OBP). Current OF is Castellanos, Pham, Kepler, Winker, Tapia. Would you drop Tapia (or other) to stash Kirilloff ahead of his call up?
Andrew Gould
2:14
If you start five outfielders, you can't stash Kirilloff unless you have another OF to play. In a three-OF format it's more palatable since you're only using Tapia at Coors.

Any slow starters you are especially concerned about early?
Andrew Gould
2:16
Hiura's extended strikeout woes worry me a bit. I might still be willing to buy low, particularly in keeper/dynasty.
ryan
2:16
looking to deal keston hiura for a pitcher. what kind of pitcher should i be targeting?
Andrew Gould
2:17
Speak of the devil. Might not be the best time to move Hiura. Maybe a Lynn or Ryu type arm, or perhaps "buy high" on Musgrove or Alcantara?
Nick K
2:18
Holding on Albies and Moncada?
Andrew Gould
2:18
Yep, it hasn't even been a full week. Be patient.

Can india keep this up
Andrew Gould
2:19
Well he probably can't hit .500 all year, but I think he can hold his own with a decent amount of power and speed. Could be a sell-high candidate if he stays hot.
jimmy
2:20
who are you targeting on the wire early for HR? what about among SP (with QS instead of W)?
Andrew Gould
2:21
Justin Upton looks healthy and more like his old self. Steven Matz's first start has me intrigued, but maybe that's just because I'm a cynical Mets fan who believes the easiest path to success is leaving the Mets.
Vin Rock
2:22
Any fringe Starters you recommend to grab or trade for? Anyone your bullish on to get more shares?
Andrew Gould
2:24
I'm feeling a lot of early confirmation bias of Musgrove, Mahle, and Civale, guys I liked in the offseason who looked impressive their first time out.

Which hot start from a preseason unknown are you buying the most?
Andrew Gould
2:26
Merryweather looks like the real deal in Toronto's bullpen. The only question is whether he continues to get all of the save opportunities. It still wouldn't surprise me if it's a committee with Romano.

I receive a trade offer of Mike Yastrzemski for Lance McCullers but decided it beacuse McCullers injury history worries me. Did I make the right move & if so, who would be an idea SP to target with Yastrzemski?
Andrew Gould
2:27
I was lower than most on McCullers because I can't see holding up for 150+ innings. So I don't blame you. Maybe go after Gausman or Mahle?

Does Nick Madrigal have the breakout so many predicted before the start of the season?
Andrew Gould
2:30
He'll hit more eventually, but they'll all be singles. The steals will mostly make or break his fantasy value, so regularly batting ninth is an issue.
Ryan
2:30
Hang on to J Paxton or move on?
Andrew Gould
2:31
Move on if you don't have an IL spot for him.
Darryl
2:32
Is Baddoo the real deal or hype central?
Andrew Gould
2:33
He only had 20 games at High-A, so it's tough to fully buy in. I'm still not banking on him in a typically sized 12-team mixed league.
Ryan

H2H points League.  WW Kikuchi, Matz, Rodon, Widener, Yarbrough.  Drop Marco Gonzales or Montas for any of them?  Thanks!
