I'm in agreement there. The Jets definitely need an OT and all 4 of the top guys are most likely going to be gone by that point. I'd recommend trading up if the board is falling the way they don't want it to to get someone like Andrew Thomas or Mekhi Becton.

Do you think Lamar Jackson could replicate what he did this past year ?
Kyle Yates
1:36
Purely replicate it? No. He threw freaking 37 TDs last season and had over 1,200 yards on the ground. Insane. I'm still projecting him to be around 1,000 yards on the ground, but that TD number is going to regress. He'll still be a great option for fantasy though.

For startup dynasty drafts, how valuable are draft picks vs current players?
Kyle Yates
1:38
Current players always need to have more weight placed on them in Dynasty startups because we know their situations, the talent level, the coaching schemes, etc. Draft picks are always a crap shoot. While we do our best to evaluate those players, there are always going to be some players that simply miss due to poor coaching, poor usage, work ethic, etc. I always choose to focus on the players that I know versus the ones that could turn into something down the road in Dynasty startups.

Thoughts on Singletary as a potential top 10 RB?
Kyle Yates
1:40
I've actually never been a Devin Singletary guy. He's certainly talented and elusive, but his body type and athletic profile is going to prevent him from ever being a player that sees 225+ carries in a season. Even last year, we saw some injury concerns with him and the workload he saw, which wasn't much. I'd project him to fill more of an Austin Ekeler type role versus a workhorse back. Because of that, I highly expect the Bills to draft a RB (potentially JK Dobbins) and use Singletary as more of a change of pace. He'll still be fantasy relevant, but Top-10 RB is a little bit too rich for my projections.

With three picks in the first round of my 12 team rookie only draft and a immediate need at QB and WR. Do I just take the best player available at 1.4, 1.8, and 1.11 or focus on those needs?
Kyle Yates
1:42
Yes. Hah. Your draft selections spots are going to match up nicely with your team needs. At 1.4, you're going to be able to walk away with either Jerry Jeudy, CeeDee Lamb, or Justin Jefferson. After that, you could take Burrow at 1.08 (assuming this is a 1QB league) and then take the best player available at 1.11. Don't corner yourself into that draft strategy though. Do your best to go into the draft with an open mind and stay true to overall rankings.

I am in a dynasty super flex startup and I have the first pick in the rookie draft. I am basically debating between Burrow and the top QB landing spot. What direction should I go? I could use help at RB or QB.
Kyle Yates
1:43
Burrow is definitely the way that you should be leaning if you have a QB need in a SF league. QBs are currency and you need to make sure that you've loaded up with solid options.

Who do you like more: Tags or Bobby?
Kyle Yates
1:44
Depends on the day and who's nicer to me...Tags was a jerk to me on today's podcast that we just recorded, so I have to go with Bobby!

In a 12 team league that is .5 ppr  2qb would u recommend taking kyler Murray in the 2nd round?
Kyle Yates
1:45
I would! If he's still there. Murray's currently my QB4 in 2020 rankings and it's hard to see that changing much. The Hopkins trade was a huge boost for his fantasy value.

Last pick of 1st round and first of the second (12/13) 1/2 PPR. Who are some guys I should be targeting to be cornerstones of my team?
Kyle Yates
1:47
Hard to definitively say without knowing who went before that point, but be looking at guys like Michael Pittman Jr and potentially KJ Hamler. I think they're both going to fall into really good spots for fantasy football. Otherwise, someone in that consensus top-10 is most likely going to fall that you'll be able to scoop up.

Who is a buy low dynasty RB that may pan out in 2-3 years?
Kyle Yates
1:48
David Montgomery. Doesn't measure up athletically with the top guys, but he makes up for it in so many different areas. That offense was atrocious last year with Trubisky at the helm and Foles is going to be able to help move this offense. Defenses won't be able to just key in on stopping Montgomery and he's going to be put in more scoring situations. I really like him for 2020 and beyond.

Got offered Chubb in a dynasty to swap firsts. He wants an RB back. Who should I give up of: L Bell, M Gordon, K Drake?
Kyle Yates
1:49
If you can sell off Lev Bell, do it immediately. I don't want Lev Bell on any of my rosters.

12th and 13th pick in my league this year (Defending champ)... who are some guys I should be targeting then?
Kyle Yates

Crazy. I actually just answered that question a couple of spots earlier!

Sup Kyle, curious if burrow to cinci happens is he the consensus 1.01 in superflex leagues? If not how far does he have to fall to be drafted at a “value”? Thanks
Kyle Yates
1:51
If Burrow goes anywhere, he should be considered the 1.01. He doesn't come with the injury concerns that Tua does and no other QB in this class comes close to touching these guys from a talent perspective. But Cincy's a great spot for him to walk in right away and have immediate production.

I have Julio, Keenan Allen and C. Sutton in my 8-team dynasty league but don't have a pick in the rookie draft 'til 3.4.  My bench wrs are: A. Miller, K. Stills, J. Brown, D. Funchess and S. Sims (Washington).  Who do you think would be an available wr value by the time the 3.4 pick came around?
Kyle Yates
1:52
So in a smaller league like that, there are still going to be some great names available for you from a WR perspective. Antonio Gandy-Golden is going super late in Dynasty Rookie ADP currently. As is Pittman and Hamler, respectively, though I think they should be going much higher than that. Otherwise, I'd be psyched to snag Devin Duvernay out of Texas in the 3rd/4th round.

How do you feel about the long term value on DJ Moore? I want o acquire in my league and I have contemplated Miles Sanders for him. 12 team 1QB dynasty ppr
Kyle Yates
1:53
The issue with going after DJ Moore right now in Dynasty leagues is that his value has never been higher. I'm a huge proponent of buying when stock is low and selling when stock is high. Right now, I'd be trying to avoid trading for DJ Moore because you're going to have to pay through the nose for him. Instead, wait until he has a down week within the season (cause he will, every receiver does) and go after him then if you really want him on your roster.

startup dynasty league question: tips on how to evaluate draft 2021 picks as the order isn’t set yet
Kyle Yates
1:56
Right now, all we can do from evaluating the 2021 class is evaluate the overall strength of the class. This 2021 WR class rivals the 2020 WR class as it stands right now. Rashod Bateman, J'Marr Chase, Jaylen Waddle, Devonta Smith, Tylan Wallace, etc. are all top-tier players. The RB class has a few solid players, but it's not looking like it's as deep as this 2020 class. So if you need RB help desperately, I'd consider moving a 2021 pick for a proven player now. Otherwise, I'm comfortable waiting for a 2021 WR if I need WR depth.

Damien Williams.

What are you doing with OBJ in dynasty leagues? Buy, sell, hold? And what are you selling/buying him for?
Kyle Yates
1:57
I'm buying and holding. I'm still a believer in OBJ's talent level and I think that Browns offense is going to rebound this season, plus OBJ will be healthy, which he wasn't last season.

Hello.  Do you think Jalen Hurts is worth drafting in a rookie draft for dynasty?  Burrow, Tua and Herbert have already been picked.  Full roster (43 players), start 11 offense, 9 defense players every week.  Currently my QB's are Lamar Jackson and Jameis Winston
Kyle Yates
1:59
If your roster is that deep and you currently have Lamar Jackson and Jameis Winston, absolutely. You need to build out that depth and Hurts might not be the guy to walk right into a starting job, but you need to do something to address the position.
