In a dynasty auction league, (500 budget) would you rather have a $60 Zach Ertz and $30 Robert Woods or a $91 Travis Kelce and a $16 Michael Gallup?
Mike Tagliere
1:16
Kelce and Gallup most likely. I'm not sure where Ertz goes after this year. They're grooming Goedert. If playing for just this year, I'd say the Ertz side.

Thoughts on Eno Benjamin as a sleeper this year? Highlights from Arizona State look good and I think only a matter of time before shine wears off a little on Kenyan Drake.
Mike Tagliere
1:16
I thought Benjamin would make a good backup, though we need to make sure he's the backup to Drake and not Edmonds. The shine won't wear off on Drake, he's very good.

who are some buy low candidates now who will all likelihood be playing for a different team in 2021 to keep an eye on? Fournette comes to mind. Anyone else?
Mike Tagliere
1:17
Yates put out an article on upcoming free agents not too long ago. Here you go: https://www.fantasypros.com/2020/06/2020-contract-year-players-fantasy...

Is Gallup worth his current ADP with Dallas drafting Lamb?
Mike Tagliere
1:18
I didn't think he would be, but after doing projections, he should still be in the WR3 discussion.

Hey Mike, love your work on Fantasy Pros.  Will you ever lose on Fantasy Fued?  Always look forward to your podcasts!  A huge thank you to Bobby, Yates, and yourself for always keeping me entertained!
Mike Tagliere
1:18
Defintely not. I can't... been thinking about retirement, though. Go out on top. Thank you!

I know he was drafted in the 3rd round last year, but he barely played last year, s is Damien Harris a JAG (Just A Guy) or can he take the lead of the Patriot backfield with an already nicked up Sony Michel?
Mike Tagliere
1:19
Just talked about him on the podcast that'll come out later today. Love him as a late-round pick. It's possible he's the starter this year after Sony Michel had another surgery.

Point per touch: I want to keep 3 cook, mixon, chubb, and rjones  i gotta keep the top 3 yes or trade cook and get a pick?
Mike Tagliere
1:20
I'd keep Cook, Mixon, and Chubb. No guarantee Jones is the guy, though I think he starts out as the leader in that backfield.

I'm all on the Antonio Brown hype wagon this year, drafting him with one of my last picks in redraft.  What do you think his NFL suspension might be?  And if he signs with a team where would he rank in your WR rankings (I know it depends on the team)?  Top 30 for rest of the year that he plays?
Mike Tagliere
1:21
I won't be drafting him anywhere outside of best ball formats. In season-long, you can't afford to keep someone on your bench for over a month, which is his minimum suspension IMO. If/when he does play, he'll be a stud. Top-20 every week.
@SoSweet_2_Tweet
1:21
Do you think Devonta Freeman plays this year?  If so where do you think he signs?  Buccaneers? Jags? Eagles?
Mike Tagliere
1:21
Thought the Bucs or Eagles would take a shot on him, but he's apparently asking for more money than they want to spend. Think he signs when there's an injury somewhere.

Hi, I have picks 1 2 and 3 (yeah, I know, but no 1st's in 2021 and 2022) in our standard dynasty rookiedraft 12 players. I currently have Mixon and M.Thomas on my team as dynasty players. I will of course pick CEH as 1, but I'm unsure of which two players I should pick next. I can only start 3 RBs, and I reaaaaally like Jeudy. Is it reasonable to draft Jeudy before Lamb og Dobbins? Before Taylor? I'm not sold on Taylor - I think he is a old school RB, a better version of David Mont. and his wear and tear + fumble issues is a major concern. His 4.39 without gear on, well.. Thx for great articles, pod casts and more!
Mike Tagliere
1:22
If I had the top three picks in your situation, I'd be taking CEH, Taylor, and Jeudy.

Hey Tags, how would you rank Dak, Kyler, Russ, and Watson this season (my league is six point passing TDs. Should anyone get a bump with that?
Mike Tagliere
1:23
I have them ranked Dak, Wilson, Kyler, and Watson in that scoring setting.

Hey there Tags, how early would you be comfortable grabbing Calvin Ridley in redraft? He’s generating so much hype in fantasy circles, his ADP is only going to keep rising leading into drafts.
Mike Tagliere
1:25
Yeah, he's getting hype for good reason. I believe he's worth the risk in the late 3rd/ early 4th round. His current ADP is mid-4th.

CEH TOP 5 RB ?
Mike Tagliere
1:25
Love him, though it may not happen this year. The upside is there for sure.
George
1:27
I drafted Leonard Fournette as my RB2 in the fourth round of a dynasty league. Lets say he plays out his last year in Jacksonville this year and has another solid year (TD positive regression, receptions negative). How do you rate him going forward? Why don't you see him being 'the main man' somewhere after that?
Mike Tagliere
1:28
With the incoming running backs, it's hard to see him land a workhorse gig after this year. I liked Fournette out of college, but he's been a disappointment from an efficiency standpoint. Likely best suited for a timeshare.
George
1:28
How many seasons do you think Travis Kelce has left as the top 1-2 TE in fantasy?
Mike Tagliere
1:29
We might be at the end, sadly. I have an article coming out next month that answers the question: At what age does a TE decline? There'll be an article for RBs, WRs, and TEs.
George
1:29
What chance do you give Joshua Kelley at taking over the Melvin Gordon role in the Chargers offence at some point in the future?
Mike Tagliere
1:29
He's going to eat into some of the carries, but highly unlikely they give him the 15-20 touches per game that Gordon got.
Blake Gentry
1:29
Dynasty question. Who is someone you see being drafted as an RB2 but has the best potential to be drafted as an RB1 next year?
Mike Tagliere
1:30
In dynasty, it'd be Aaron Jones and JK Dobbins atop the list.
Bjorn
1:31
Tags!! You are undoubtedly one of the best at what you do, thank you for your time and insight! In an upcoming Dynasty Half PPR Rookie draft, i have the 1.12 pick and was offered Chris Carson for it, my top targets i'm hoping will fall are Justin Jefferson and Ke'Shawn Vaughn. I Currently have Kamara and Jacobs, Ronald Jones @ RB and JuJu, Dj. Moore, Hollywood Brown @ WR. If all 3 options are available at that pick, which way would you go?
Mike Tagliere
1:32
Thanks, Bjorn, really appreciate that! I'd take Carson over Vaughn, but not over someone like Reagor or Jefferson, so it depends on who's there. Carson carries tons of risk coming off a hip injury and a crowded depth chart.

Why do I feel like Preston Williams is better than Davante Parker
Mike Tagliere
1:32
I like Preston Williams, and he might be, but Parker is still the No. 1 on that team. Williams put up a lot of his totals with Rosen, who won't play in MIA ever again.

  • Question 1: Auction Redraft 14-team Standard League: At current price give or take a few bucks which of the 3 RBs should i go after hardest Sanders/Drake/Ekeler?-- Fantasy Pro Calculator has Sanders & Drake at $54 Ekeler at $48
  • Question 2: Why is Ekeler projected for such a low volume? W/O Gordon, Ekeler had 12/17/9/18 carries with Jackson there. If he averages 13 carries a game thats over 200 carries. I know Kelley is there but a fourth round rookie stealing that many carries with a shortened  off season? Am i that far off on my projections? with 250-270 touches?
Mike Tagliere
1:34
Give me Drake of those three.
This is a completely different offense now, so throw out last year's numbers. With Rivers gone, the pass attempts will severely decline, and that's where Ekeler scored most of his points. I have Ekeler projected for 185 rush attempts, 82 targets, which might be generous on the targets. He's a fine RB2.
