Just talked to Geoff. He's been BUSY! But it's all good, his career has really taken off. We do hope to announce a list later this year, after he's completed some outstanding commitments. We'll just have to wait and see, though.

How worried should I be about all the commissions I’ve bought that use Copics? How many years until they fade away?

They're allegedly archival...but time will tell. Some guys kill with those things. Otherwise, I'm not a big fan.

What's the deal with artists going to conventions but saying they don't do any art at all while there? Any thoughts?

That's their choice? They're under no obligation to draw, that I'm aware of. They just supposed to be physically present. My issue is more with artists going to conventions, but then never being at their tables! At least let me see that you're there.

What’s the best way to store older comic strip art, that are done on boards?

Same as any other art? I store in mylar/acid free backing board...like everything else.

To Benno: When you mentioned your fondness for prelims on the podcast, it certain caught my ear. Recently I passed on a high 3-figure prelim from an artist who usually sells for high 4-figure to 25k. For $800 I had to decide whether I wanted to spend that money on a prelim or a really nice published page or even cover. Thus, my wondering. Do you have a limit that you spend on a prelim?

Not many. Daniel Warren Johnson lettered the first issue of his upcoming project for fun, but I don't know if he'll continue.

THe HP Office Jet 7740 is not bad as an all in one. Prints and scans 11x17 wirelessly up to 1200 dpi.
