I think the breadth and volume of quality comics we have today is phenomenal -- there's something for everyone, or there will be soon. The biggest problem is getting it to the audience. We need bigger, wider distribution and more platforms. Comics are addictive, but we forget they can be intimidating to read, so they need to be ubiquitous and accessible to get to that wider audience.

Felix - you mentioned a safe for comic art that can fit a portfolio. I've considered this before too but haven't found many. Any suggestions?

Yes, research gun safes. Most are fire-rated for 30 minutes. Mine is for 90 minutes.

OK, I'll sneak one more in. I have two: Frank Miller and James Jean. Great commissions have helped me get over the nostalgia bug...those two pieces are as important to me as anything else in my collection.
